Los Angeles: Actress Priyanka Chopra has said she would have exercised her right to vote in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections if she was in the country.


The 34-year-old, who is currently filming the TV series "Quantico" in the US, took to Twitter urging fellow citizens to go out and do their bit.



"To vote is our greatest right. If I was home I'd definitely be voting. Exercise your right! #VoteForMumbai #BMCPolls2017," wrote Priyanka.

Polling commenced in the metropolis this morning for the 227-member BMC, where other Bollywood celebrities such as Rekha, Gulzar, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Zoya Akhtar, cast their votes among others.
