Queenie Dhody has no qualms being referred to as a 'socialite,' although she knows the term is also associated with a bimbette in India. "I think you can be a socialite and still be smart and intelligent," she opines. But attending parties isn't the only thing that keeps her busy.
She's got her hands full with too many things. Soon off to Chandigarh and Ludhiana for her jewellery exhibition, Queenie tells CS about the many profiles she handles and how she manages to stay sane in spite of all the multitasking:

Bedazzled
I have always been passionate about designing jewellery, right from my modelling days. In all those 12 years, all my earning went into making jewellery. I spent hours with the karigar explaining him the designs that I wanted. Now with my own store, I can say that I am living my dream.
No kidding
My kids are my priority and a good chunk of my time is devoted to them. I still take my 11 year old son's homework. My daughter who is 14, has now learnt to teach herself. With kids being exposed to so much in the world today, it is important to give them quality time to ensure their psychological development.
Write turn
I write a weekly column for a newspaper. That's an outlet to share my erratic thoughts. The piece could be about an event that I've attended or a place that I have travelled to or my opinion on a certain issueu00a0- anything. Many people tell me that I should pen a book. I haven't had the time for it yet, but one day I will.
Party popper
I have a lot of fun hosting parties. Even as a kid I enjoyed putting parties together. My dad was a businessman and did a lot of entertaining. I was just nine or 10 then, but I had a blast organising bashes. Not much has changed since then.
Walk of life
I must do yoga and meditation to stay in shape and maintain my sanity. Besides that, I walk every evening. Anyone can join meu00a0- my son, daughter or a friend. I use that time to sort out things in my head and reflect on the day's events.
