Rahul Dholakia waited for five years for Raees to roll with Shah Rukh Khan

Raees director Rahul Dholakia recently addressed the students of the Mumbai branch of the New York Film Academy. He spoke about the challenges he faced while making Parzania (2005), which had the Gujarat riots in the backdrop as well as the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees due to the presence of Pakistani actor Mahira Khan in the cast. He confessed that he had approached SRK years ago for Raees and waited for five years for the film to roll. He also said that it was the star's idea to include the Zaalima track in the crime drama.
