Pyaar mein rukavat for Vidya-Madhavan; are replaced by off-screen jodi, Soha-Kunal in Raj Kaushal flick
Vidya Balan and Madhavan who have starred together in Manu Ratnam's Guru as well as a series of ad films for a mobile company were being considered for a film by director Raj Kaushal, but now the roles have gone to real-life couple Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu.
A source close to Raj reveals, "Raj Kaushal found Vidya and Maddy's chemistry interesting and decided to cast them in his next. However, he later changed his mind and decided to go for a younger couple with real-life chemistry."
The source continues, "It is a romantic comedy that requires young couples and their youthful vibe. The director has seen the couple together at a social events and believes that Kunal-Soha will fit the roles a little better."
Raj says, "I have narrated the script to Madhavan and Vidya. The final drafting is yet to be presented. Nothing is finalised or locked as yet."
When quizzed him about Soha-Kunal being the new replacement he says, "Nothing of that sort."
