Incidentally, Smita is the first and only actress in the regional film industry to launch her own app to stay connected to fans.
Smita, who won hearts with her roles in several films, has harboured acting dreams since childhood.
Some of her well known films include Wanted Bayko No. 1, Gadbad Gondhal, Chi.Sou.Ka. Mary Fernandes, Gappa Baais Ani Aiik, Janhavi and The Awakening.
