Rohit's 5 favourite party topics

Though he may be spotted at a zillion parties/events, actor Rohit Roy maintains that he's not a party person. "The only reason I am often seen at parties is because I feel that it's my duty to be with friends when they are celebrating. So, even though I am dead tired I make it a point to share their happiness," he says. But Rohit does know how to have a good time at social dos. He tells us how his conversations never run dry:

Bolo Bollywood

Most of my friends belong to the film or TV industry, so, films and TV are always a hot topic of discussion. On the downside, we don't manage to learn about other fields because we restrict our conversations to these subjects. But all said and done, Bollywood gossip is quite addictive, and no one seems to mind it.

Cricket crazy

The game dominates a great part of our conversations. But there's such an overdose of cricket nowadays, that the charm has somewhat diminished. One big tournament is followed by another.

Just kidding

Before our daughter was born, Manasi and I had promised that we wouldn't yap about our kid at events like most other parents. But I must confess that we've royally failed on that front. We parents just can't stop talking about our kids. From their school to holidays to exams, we always find fodder for an interesting conversation.

In the news...u00a0u00a0

We talk about current affairs after a couple of drinks as it's fun to argue. So, whether it is Ajmal Kasab's trial or the latest crime news, everything becomes a topic of debate. Some of the really interesting observations come up at this stage.u00a0

Counting the chicks

When boys get together, there's bound to be some talk about the girls at the party. But the ground rule is 'look, no touch'. This is obviously the last topic in the list of conversations as Manasi won't let me home if she finds me going gaga over women.u00a0
