Shah Rukh takes his team's cheerleaders on an all-expense paid trip to South Africa
The relocation of the Indian Premier League to South Africa made Shah Rukh Khan's angels (the cheerleaders of Kolkata Knight Riders) unable to perform. Yet, the magnamanious SRK took the girls on an all-expense paid trip to Cape Town.
This enabled Sunanda Hiroo, Sana Chirawala, Rupali Kanth-aria, Ritika Chhibber (all Mumbai-based) Samyukta Surendra (Bangalore) and Ananya Bera (Kolkata) enjoy a holiday of a lifetime from April 15-27.
Says Ritika, "We were so excited to make the trip. There were the players and there was Mr SRK!"
Adds Sunanda, "We could not get a chance to perform due to technical reasons. As only one team had its cheerleaders, there was a hitch."

The girls were, however, part of the carnival road show prior to the opening ceremony. They watched the matches from the VIP box, along with SRK and his family. The girls also accompanied the team to the after-match dinner party and interacted with most of the KKR players
"We were put up in apartments just opposite the hotel where Shah Rukh stayed," adds Sunanda who has shifted base to Mumbai from Kolkata to seek a career in entertainment.
Adds Ananya who is a Class 12 student, "This trip made us forget all the despair we had. Shah Rukh has told us that we will be the cheerleaders for KKR when the IPL will be held next year in India."
The six cheerleaders were selected through the NDTV reality show Knights and Angels, which was produced by SRK.
