Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is among the several people who have fallen for a fake story of a picture that's gone viral online. He shared the photo of a cheetah-impala hunt on Instagram, but later deleted it.

While sharing the post on Instagram, Shahid Kapoor captioned it, "No man can match up to what a mother does. Women are superior to men in so many ways. Let's learn to appreciate them. And learn to show them love. Every day."

The backstory of the picture suggested the photographer went into depression after clicking the snapshot. The photographer, however, has denied the story. She said the picture wasn't of a mother who surrendered herself for her kids. Here's what actually happened:

Photographer Alison Buttigieg had clicked the photo in September 2013 at the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. She wrote on her website that a cheetah mother was teaching her kids how to kill prey. She added that the cubs were playing with their prey but the impala stayed calm through the incident. The impala was killed eventually by the cheetah mom, Buttigieg wrote on her website.

Alison Buttigieg also took to Facebook to rubbish the fake backstory that's gone viral online.

Here's what the photographer posted:
