Actress Shamita Shetty, who became a household name with the Shah Rukh Khan-Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Mohabbatein', failed to get any exciting offers even after the success of the film, prompting her to focus on television.

Shamita, however, feels that it's an exciting time to work in films and television as a lot of quality work is happening in both the mediums.

The actress had had made her Bollywood debut in Yash Raj Films' 'Mohabbatein' (2000). As she tried to survive in the film industry, some of her films clicked at the box office while some failed to evoke much response.

She gained more popularity by switching to television and participating in reality show, 'Bigg Boss'. Last year, Shamita participated in another popular dance reality show, 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded'.

Now the actress has been inundated with several television offers and she is also open for crossover films.

"I had not planned my career. Things just happened to work out this way. I got my first break in Mohabbatein. After that I didn't get any interesting offers, so I took a course in interior designing. But it's an exciting time to work in films and television because a lot of quality work is being done," Shamita said here.

She added that she hadn't got the chance to explore her talent.
