Sonam to act with Akshay

Sonam Kapoor has signed her first film opposite Akshay Kumar. The actress will be seen with Akki in Aneez Bazmee's Thank You. The casting came as a surprise to many due to the age difference between the two stars. However, Bazmee claims that after he saw her in Delhi 6, he felt she was best-suited for the role. This will be Sonam's first comedy film. She has earlier starred in more artistically inclined films Saawariya and Delhi 6.
