Although fitness has become a part of my professional requirement, it is what boosts my confidence and happiness. It is indispensable to my existence," says actor Prashant Kumar, who will next be seen in a horror flick. He details out his fitness regime:

Exercise routine
Like most others in my profession, I was once addicted to working out in the gym. But the power of yoga helped me realise the importance of core inner strength. The body cannot really be divided into muscle groups ufffd it wasn't designed like that in the first place; it is one whole unit. This is why I do a lot of Suryanamaskars.
I workout for an hour daily over six days in a week. I do Power Yoga, weight training and cardiovascular exercises. There is a lot of flexibility in the routine as such. I allow my body to dictate. On some days, I just take a good walk in full sunlight. On another, you might just find me spending 20 minutes in the steam room.
Diet plan
I may exercise for just an hour each day, but it is a matter of 24 hours vigilance. I try to clock six to eight hours of proper sleep, because unless I do that my system reacts to what I eat. Diet is primarily vegetarian with eggs. I stay completely away from harmful supplements, fat burners, and steroids. I believe that the body replenishes its own reserves. Traditional Indian food works well for me with loads of curd, paneer, dry fruits and tofu for the protein. When I am eating out (which is almost five times a week), I order a vegetarian multi-grain sandwich, a soup and a salad, or a whole-wheat pasta.
Fitness tips
Be confident about your body. Being natural is the trick. Make sure you are regular and disciplined about your promise to your body. And do not be driven by images that surround you.
