He still believes in pushing the limits as much as possible. CS caught up with the actor to know more about his passion for fitness:
Bowled over by Bruce Lee
As a youngster I was a big fan of Bruce Lee, so I started learning martial arts. He was my unofficial guru. Though I didn't know the A of acting, I got inspired by him to try my luck in films. Then, I started my training in the Okinawa martial forms like karate and Kung fu. Even today, I have his Enter the Dragon poster with me. Over the years, I have experimented with various exercise forms as I believe in a healthy mind and a healthy body.

Staying fit
I have a varied regime. Some days I practise martial arts with Chitah Yajneesh Shetty, who conducts a personalised session for me. I also play sports like cricket and squash on a regular basis.
I make it a point to hit the gym for cardio and core body exercises. The idea is to get a wholesome work out every day. I follow a simple diet with a lot of protein intake.u00a0
Mental makeover
When you think about working out, give it your 100 per cent attention. You can't have a 50-50 attitude to it. Do a decent warm up and hit the deck.
Proper training is a must. I remember taking up kickboxing a few years back, it helped me a lot in terms of improving my flexibility and body language. It also helped me in my dancing (laughs).
Fitness is a big mind game. If you're mentally fit, it is likely to reflect physically as well.
