The international promo of My Name is Khan has a blink-and-miss appearance by Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani. Clean-shaven without his trademark beard, the director is a bit difficult to identify. Not many know that Tarun has featured in all of Karan Johar's films in bit parts.

Pehle bhi!
Presently busy finishing the script for the Dostana sequel, Tarun talks about his cameo in Khan and says, "Yes I have done a small bit in Khan. I am surprised that you noticed me. However, this isn't the first time. I have been a part of every Karan film. In Khan, I have a very small role. I play a shopkeeper who's featured in one of the scenes."

For a long time, Tarun was spotted keeping his beard and had even talked about growing it till he finished the script. However, he recently got it taken off. "Karan told me to take it off. As far as the script is concerned, I have to lock it before this month ends. More than my impatience, it's my boss and everyone around me who've been asking me to rush!"

Even though he hasn't watched the movie in its entirety, Tarun is mighty impressed by whatever he's seen, "It is the movie of the year. Everyone is waiting to watch it, and being a part of it is definitely a huge high!"

Subhash Ghai's cameos

The director has a quirk of making a small cameo in each and every movie of his.
