What's it about: It seems to be the year of sequels and remakes. After Star Wars shined in its attempt to revisit the franchise, we now have the fourth in the series of Terminator movies. Salvation starts off in 2018 when Connor (Bale) decides to infiltrate enemy camp with the help of Marcus Wright (Worthington) who's resurrected as a semi-robotic human. Most of the film is a war drama that resonates and carries forward the sentiment of the first three.

What's hot: The action scenes are first-rate, definitely better than the 2003 enterprise. Sam Worthington, who has to emote dual emotions of a robot and human steals the thunder from Bale in many scenes.

What's not: The biggest culprit here is the lackadaisical script. There are so many annoying twists and silly character jumps that you end up getting a head rush! The whole effort feels forced and rushed into. It was as if the studio wanted to cash in on the summer sequel/remake fest by putting this one out. The plot is half-baked and leaves much more to be desired. The Terminators seem lousy and lazy when it comes to being mean killing machines.

What to do: Nothing like what James Cameron envisioned at the start, Terminator: Salvation is too loud, too heavy and has way too much going on for anyone to savour and enjoy it.
