The veteran has been suffering from a stomach infection for the past few days. As the pain worsened, he was advised hospital care.
Sources close to him said this morning that he was on the road to recovery. He is likely to be discharged later today.
His sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, were with him in the hospital.
