The two actors are both going through a rough time, with Dutt being sentenced to five years in jail for possession of arms and fresh charges pressed against Khan in the blackbuck poaching case, for which he has to appear in court today.

While wife Maanayata was there to put a comforting hand on Sanju, Salman’s presence must have given Dutt strength in these difficult times. Salman Khan was the most recent to join a steady stream of actors, making a beeline to offer support to long-time pal Sanjay Dutt, three days after the Supreme Court sentenced him to five years in prison for possessing illegal arms.

But his visit counts for more, in a way. In a run-in with the law himself for the blackbuck poaching case the reason why he flew down from the US Salman can surely empathise with Dutt more than the rest.
