Javed Akhtar
Javed Akhtar is a well-known India poet, lyricist and screenwriter. He rose to fame in the duo Salim-Javed and got his breakthrough as a screenwriter with the 1973 film 'Zanjeer' starring Amitabh Bachchan. Later, he went on to gain recognition as a lyricist and even won 5 National Awards for Best Lyricist.
Songs form the core of the Indian cinema and is the one distinguishing factor of Indian movies.
