Actor Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Kapur have officially tied the knot on March 11 in an intimate ceremony held at their Bandra home. The wedding brought together the couple’s families and a close circle of friends for a warm and personal celebration. While they shared glimpses from their sundowner, a video from their ceremony is doing the rounds in which Gaurav Kapur breaks down as Kritika walks down the aisle.
Gaurav Kapur gets emotional seeing Kritika as bride
The video begins with Gaurav Kapur expressing his excitement about his wedding to Kritika. “So many people who mean so much to us will be here to celebrate what I think is actually really normal. Getting married is just a very normal thing because I feel like it’s already done — here (heart) and here (brain).” The video then shows Kritika walking down the aisle in a red saree, holding her father’s hand. As soon as Gaurav sees her, he becomes emotional and teary-eyed.

Shedding light on why they chose to get married at their Bandra residence, Kritika calls Gaurav her ‘home’ and says, “Home is not a place; it’s a person. No matter what happens outside, this remains like this. And that’s what I think home should do to you. You should come back to warmth and love and this constant light and stupid jokes.” The video then shows the couple exchanging varmalas and signing the marriage documents during the civil ceremony.

The video further captures the couple exchanging vows, leaving their guests emotional and cheering for them. Kritika says, “When I look around today, everything looks right. And this feels right. So here’s me standing in front of my favourite boy, making some forever-kind-of promises. I’m a forever kind of girl. I promise you will always be heard, seen, and held. I love you, and I always will.”
Gaurav adds, “You be the plane; I will be the tailwind. I will push you as far as you want to go and be right there behind you. I’ve got your back now and always. I love you, and I am so happy that you are my Mrs.”
For the ceremony, Kritika wore a red Chanderi saree specially woven for her and gifted by her mother. Gaurav complemented the warm aesthetic of the evening in an elegant ivory and gold traditional ensemble.
