I'll have to really think because I feel like every time I come up with an answer, there's something else that, you know, trumps that the next day."           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Ileana D'Cruz (@ileana_official) Ileana also revealed that Michael has been with her in the good and bad times as her constant support.  "He's seen me through my worst times, my absolute worst times. Weirdly, it is exactly like the dialogue from Do Aur Do Pyaar, he shows up every day,” she added.  Earlier, reports suggested that Ileana was dating Katrina Kaif's brother Sebastian Laurent Michel. The duo's relationship rumours surfaced after the two were spotted vacationing with Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif in the Maldives. Vidya Balan reveals she only has 25 sarees in her collection

Vidya Balan, the actor famous for her elegant saree choices, has always stayed true to her style, even as fashion trends come and go. Surprisingly, despite her deep appreciation for traditional Indian attire, Vidya confessed that she only has 25 sarees in her collection, which might be less than expected. Vidya Balan reveals she only has 25 sarees in her collection During a conversation on the YouTube channel Unfiltered by Samdish, Vidya Balan was questioned about the extent of her wardrobe. She responded, indicating that it's not as expansive as people might assume. “It’s not at all huge as compared to most other women, and definitely other actors. But I am a minimalist, I have to say that. I don’t possess too many things,” she said, and added, “Everyone keeps asking me how many sarees do I have because I wear a lot of sarees. I have 25 sarees.” The host was surprised by the small number of sarees Vidya owns, and in response, she mentioned that she often gives away her sarees because she doesn't often get the chance to wear them more than once, “I keep giving away sarees. Because what will I do holding on to them? I don’t get a chance to repeat my sarees so the one I have kept are ones that have some sort of emotional meaning to me,” she said. What else was said during the interview? In the same interview Vidya Balan said that she would not like to talk about politics. Elaborating on her reason for the same, she said, "Politics se bohot darr lagta hai, phir humko ban-van kardege toh… It hasn’t happened with me, thankfully, but now actors have are wary about talking about politics because you don’t know who will get offended. Especially around the release of a film, it is the work of 200 people at stake, so I just say keep me away from politics." When asked if she has seen this fear of talking about politics right from the beginning of her career, she said that it was not the case earlier. "This has been happening because of social media, people take offense over everything. They give their input even on matters they don’t know much about. So it’s best to zip your mouth and keep working,” she added.

Karan Johar

After praising 'Animal,' Karan Johar speaks out against 'harmful films'

Lately, there's been a big talk on social media about how movies and filmmakers should act responsibly. Karan Johar, who's always been outspoken about filmmaking, recently talked about how important it is to be sensitive when making movies. As the director of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, he emphasized that one film alone can't transform society. Karan Johar speaks out against 'harmful films'  Karan Johar recently joined the 9th National Leadership Conclave by AIMA (All India Management Association) in Delhi. During his speech, he acknowledged that movies do influence society gradually, which means filmmakers carry a big responsibility for what they put out there. But he also pointed out that a single film can't completely reshape society. Karan Johar explained, "What we project and what we say , we have to consider it with some amount of sensitivity because people take the spoken word very seriously. Of course, no one can change the fabric of society with one feature film. It is not possible. It takes a lot of work and a lot of cinema if you want to drive home a point today. I believe so many films that talk about women empowerment are finally hitting home today. Nothing happens overnight." He also spoke out on the issue of 'harmful films' in today's society. He mentioned, "There have been films that continue to be harmful, but I hope those filmmakers realize with time how important the platform they have is, how important their voices are." This follows Karan Johar's public praise of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movie 'Animal,' which has been criticized for promoting toxic masculinity and being misogynistic. What did Karan Johar say about 'Animal'? At the mega pan-Indian roundtable 2023 by Galatta Plus, Karan Johar explained what made him like 'Animal' and also revealed that he had tears in his eyes during the climax. "I loved Animal for its front-footed, absolutely conviction-based narrative storytelling, breaking grammar, breaking myths, breaking everything that you think conforms to mainstream cinema. Suddenly you have an interval block where the hero is getting bashed up and everyone's singing a song... I am like, 'Where have you seen a sequence like this?' It's genius. The end, where the two men are going for each other and they play that song... I had tears in my eyes, but there was only blood. So I was like something is wrong with me or something is wrong with him, but something put together is very right about this film. This is not an average thinking mind. This is a mind of someone who is so distinct, so individualistic that I was blown away. I saw the film twice, first to see as an audience member and second to study it. I think the success, and acceptance of Animal is game-changing. The conviction is something that I want to have.”

Shriya Pilgaonkar reacts to rumours of being adopted

Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar, who is set to return with her role as journalist Radha Bhargava in Season 2 of the streaming series 'The Broken News’, recently opened up on the headlines about herself when she was reported to be the adopted child of her famous parents Sachin and Supriya.  In an interview with India Today, Shriya said, “There was a random article that said I was adopted. No, I’m not adopted. There was news going around out of nowhere that my parents had adopted me and that’s absolutely untrue." "This is not even something that I need to justify because I’m not going to flash my birth certificate on Instagram to prove my point. But yes, this was absolutely amusing as it’s not true, but other than that, no other scandals have been reported about me,” she added.            View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Shriya Pilgaonkar (@shriya.pilgaonkar) Coming to 'The Broken News’, Shriya said that the series stresses the fact that news consumption cannot be a one-way traffic. The ones who are consuming the news also have to be aware of AI and should verify news from their end as well. The actress told IANS: “This season explores different themes in the world of news reporting that are so relevant. One of them is fake news and how easy it is for sensationalised stories to spread faster than actual truth and facts. Given the recent alarming incidents of the Deepfakes, it raises concerns about misinformation and trust in the media.” “Today, we can’t afford to blindly believe everything we read on social media without fact-checking from multiple sources because of how common fake news has become. Our series addresses the fact that the onus also lies on people consuming news to make sure that they discern fact from fiction,” she added.  Returning after a gap of two years, the new season will see the fight for ideologies between the two broadcast news channels, ‘Josh 24x7’ and ‘Awaz Bharti’ scale new heights. The show, which is based on the BBC Studios format ‘Press’, is directed by Vinay and written by Sambit Mishra. It also stars Sonali Bendre and Jaideep Ahlawat. Arijit Singh Birthday 2024: What makes the legend a singer of all seasons

In '3 idiots', Boman Irani claimed that nobody remembered the man who came second. Birthday boy Arijit Singh, who celebrates his big day on April 25 could counter that. He participated in the singing reality show, Fame Gurukul, but was eliminated rather early. Today, his voice has transcended boundaries and borders and the man has been charming one and all with his sensational and soothing singing skills. His birthday would be the aptest occasion to revisit some of his best and most memorable songs that not only got permanently etched in people's minds but also showcased his unfairly overlooked versatility. Contrary to the memes and opinions, there's a lot more to his voice than pain and anguish. He has nearly nailed all possible kinds of songs in all genres that need to be highlighted and quick. Here we go: Love 1. Phir Mohabbat- Murder 2 (2011) Emraan Hashmi and chartbuster music seem to be a match made in heaven. Music directors and singers always reserve their best, or at least one of their best works, for this star. Murder 2 was the first time the nation heard of Arijit Singh, and the way the song was crooned and captured, there was something haunting about his voice and the titillating chemistry between the actors. Always trust the Bhatts to pull off both! 2. Tum Hi Ho (2013) What Aashiqui was to Kumar Sanu, the sequel was to Singh. Both Sanu and Singh became overnight stars and sensations post the historic success of these two films. Mahesh Bhatt and Mohit Suri's Aashiquis weren't as much about the plot and performances as much as they were about their iconic soundtrack. So if 1990 gave us Saanson Ki Zaroorat, 2013 gave us the love anthem of that year- Tum Hi Ho. Again, a deep melody that can hardly fade away. Couples that love to revel in their PDA would unabashedly embrace the track and romanticise about its melody, making it one of the most celebrated songs of the decade. A star was born! Longing Kabira- Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) Kabir aka Bunny from Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani wasn't exactly a likeable character. His ambitions and aspirations may have been relatable and contagious, his callousness wasn't. Kabir wasn't exactly a loner, but preferred to stay in his own world that comprises of everything and anything that gives him an adrenaline rush, or as Salman Khan said- Kick! In a film where everyone around him wants him to come back and be with people who love him, there couldn't have been a better song than Kabira to perfectly describe this protagonist. The lyrics were- "Ae Kabira Yun Na Jaa", and rightly so since all the characters in the film, right from his parents to friends to Naina, wanted him to stay. The song sums up how the feeling of longing looks and feels like. Loneliness 1. Tum Saath Ho- Tamasha (2015) Imtiaz Ali knows how to create a moment between his hero and heroine, especially with a good script and on a good day. Tamasha must have happened in his life during the best phase of his life. Just like Bunny, it was difficult to understand Ved, and his unpredictable outbursts were both shocking and scary. Tara begins to feel she has lost him forever and wants him back, but his stubbornness won't just allow him to hold her hand. In the filmmaker's own words, the emotions were real, and so were Arijit Singh and Alka Yagnik's enchanting vocals that powered what is one of the best songs to describe and depict loneliness. 2. Channa Mereya- Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) Is there any other actor who can show sadness as seamlessly as Ranbir Kapoor? Even he has begun to joke about it now. And Singh's voice, often described as solemn and sombre, perfectly fits Kapoor's on-screen demeanour. Channa Mereya is what you call a song that's been made for people who have been through the feeling of one-sided love. It still is the unlikeliest wedding song ever to exist in a Dharma Production film. And very similar to Tum Hi Ho, this made musical history too! Lounges 1. Palat- Main Tera Hero (2014) There are certain songs that can arouse the dancer inside you once you play them, especially in lounges. Palat from Main Tera Hero gave us a very different side of the singer. For someone who was always called to make people cry, was making us dance to his voice. This title track was infectiously choreographed and energetically crooned by the singer that it is a personal favourite even today! 2. Sooraj Dooba Hai- Roy (2015) Not many people have seen Roy, and those who have, may not remember what exactly they saw. But they do remember what they heard. They heard the song Sooraj Dooba Hai, which became a rage when it came out. Singh's voice can hook and hypnotise you, both. And it's very rare to find a voice as versatile as his. So why don't we just end those jokes and memes that suggest Arijit Singh does not smile and nor do his songs?

Ranbir Kapoor

Pics: Take a look at Ranbir Kapoor's three-year physical transformation

Actor Ranbir Kapoor received a lot of appreciation and applause for his performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film 'Animal' which was released in December last year. The actor is currently training for his upcoming magnum-opus' Ramayana' directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In the film, which will see him plays the role of Lord Ram. For his role, he has been undergoing extensive physical training to achieve the desired look. Now, his physical trainer Shivohaam has dropped pictures of his drastic transformation over the past three years.  On Wednesday, Shivohaam shared a series of photos on Instagram that depicted Ranbir Kapoor's physical transformation in the last three years. The first picture showed Ranbir's beefed-up avatar from 'Animal'. The second picture showed a lean Ranbir waiting to start his physical transformation and the final image showed his transformation for Ramayana. In the caption, Shivoham stated, “It was a beautiful journey and I wish you #ranbirkapoor all the best for the next blockbuster success #ramayana.”           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by SHIVOHAAM (@shivohamofficial) A while ago, another fitness coach who is also training Ranbir for Ramayana recently gave a glimpse into his intense training session before he kicks off shooting for his upcoming movie. The video shows Ranbir, without a shirt, exercising amidst lush green surroundings, running alongside his trainer, lifting weights, and engaging in various exercises. Additionally, he enjoys swimming, cycling, and hiking as part of his training regimen. The caption of the video reads, "Went to the countryside for a decompression week. WIP with Ranbir."           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Training With Nam (@trainingwithnam) While there has been no formal announcement of the film's cast,  speculation state Sai Pallavi's role as Goddess Sita, with talks suggest Sunny Deol may be considered for the role of Lord Hanuman. While there's no official confirmation, it has come to the fore that Bobby Deol reportedly approached to play Kumbhkaran. There are also rumours swirling around Vijay Sethupathi's potential portrayal of Raavan's youngest brother, Vibhishan. Yash is rumoured to play the role of Raavana and is also the co-producer of the film.  Meanwhile, the shoot of the film began on April 2 in Mumbai. It’s the set-up of a Gurukul, which has been combined with a green screen for enhancement in the post-production process.  The first schedule of the magnum opus began with child artists playing the parts of Lord Ram, Laxman, and Bharat. Ranbir Kapoor was not a part of the schedule. Nitesh Tiwari shot the childhood portions of Lord Ram, where Guru Vasishtha gives life lessons to Lord Ram and his brothers. Shishir Sharma has been cast to play the role of Guru Vasishtha, whereas the names of child artists have been kept under wraps for now. It's a pure and honest take on Ramayana, and the makers are being very cautious to do justice to every part that's written in the books.
