Last month, author Twinkle Khanna and actress Kajol went viral for expressing their opinion on infidelity on their Prime Video chat show Two Much. They argued that there is a difference between emotional and physical cheating—something one understands with age. Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor were guests on the episode, where the filmmaker also sided with the hosts, while Janhvi stated that both are wrong. The internet largely agreed with Janhvi, sparking a major debate on social media. Actor Huma Qureshi has now shared her old-school view on the topic.
Huma Qureshi says 'cheating is cheating'
Appearing on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Huma addressed the episode and said, “Cheating is cheating. What is physical or emotional in it? I am very old-school in that regard. What is emotional cheating?”
The host informed Huma that Kajol and Twinkle said physical cheating can be excused as mistakes happen. Huma disagreed with that view.
“I don’t believe that. I am very black and white in these matters. Either don’t be with someone. But if you are, what is this free pass? I don’t understand these kinds of things. Jokingly, I will just say, ‘If you are caught, you will be beaten up,’” she said.
Karan, Twinkle, Kajol defend physical cheating
During a round of This or That on the show Two Much, the guests were asked to choose between emotional and physical infidelity—which one they believed was more damaging. While Karan, Twinkle, and Kajol agreed that physical infidelity could be overlooked, Janhvi was visibly shocked.
“She hasn’t seen what we’ve seen,” Twinkle remarked as Janhvi stood her ground. Confused, Janhvi asked, “But both of them are bad! How can one be worse than the other?”
Karan added, “I believe physical infidelity is not a deal-breaker.” Twinkle joked, “Raat gayi, baat gayi,” to which Janhvi firmly responded, “No way! Baat nahi jaati. I don’t accept it. No, it’s a deal-breaker.”
Twinkle concluded by pointing out the generational gap: “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s. She hasn’t seen what we have.”
This segment had led to intense debate on social media with majority people supporting Janhvi's stance.
