On Monday, the Delhi High Court directed the Government of India to submit a status report and assigned a nodal officer to help and communicate with the family. Maj. (Rtd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly has been supposedly arrested in the UAE since September 2024 due to national security concerns.

The petition also claimed that the Centre gave only "perfunctory consular assistance" and refused to give any significant information or updates on her brother's status.

The court issued a notice to Centre, requiring it to submit a status report within four weeks. The High Court also ordered the appointment of a nodal officer to determine the status of her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly.

Celina Jaitly's brother has been in the UAE since 2016 and works for the MATITI Group, which provides trading, advisory, and risk management services, according to PTI.
