Alia Bhatt's uncle, Mukesh Bhatt, recently revealed that he was not invited to her wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. Brothers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, who were once among Bollywood’s most successful filmmaking duos, are now far away from each other. Notably, the two co-founders of Vishesh Films, who delivered blockbusters such as Aashiqui, Raaz, and Murder. The brothers have now been embroiled in a long-running rivalry that continues to draw attention in the industry.

Recently, Mukesh made shocking revelations, saying that he wasn’t invited to Alia Bhatt’s wedding. He admitted to feeling bad and said that he loves Mahesh Bhatt’s daughters a lot. During a conversation with Lehren Retro, Mukesh said, “I will be a hypocrite if I say I didn’t feel bad. Of course, I felt bad. I love Alia a lot and not just her, even Shaheen. So when she got married, I thought meri bachi ki shadi hai (my daughter is getting married). I was very much wanting to be there."
Mukesh further revealed that he hasn’t met Alia and Ranbir’s three-year-old daughter, Raha. Expressing his desire to meet the baby girl, he says, “When I got to know that Alia is pregnant and then she had a baby, meri aankhein taras gayi Raha ko dekhne ke liye (My eyes yearn to see Raha). I love kids a lot."
Mukesh further added that he didn’t try to reach out to Alia since he did not want to put her in an awkward position. He shared, “I didn’t even try because I didn’t want to put her in a position of discomfort. I didn’t want to put her in a position where she had to see how will her father feel if I come and meet her." The fulmmaker added that he blessed them regardless. He said, “Maine dil se dua de di (I blessed them from my heart)."
Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt fallout
For the uninitiated, the feud between the two brothers started in 2021 when Mukesh officially took over the reins of Vishesh Films. He announced that Mahesh would no longer be involved in the company’s future projects. Back then, Mukesh claimed there had been no fight and that it was a peaceful separation.
However, Mahesh later remarked about the fallout, especially “morally bankrupt" Aashiqui 3. Reports claim creative and financial disagreements lie at the heart of the fallout.
