Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is receiving adulation from all corners for its storytelling and power-packed performances, with each character leaving an indelible mark. While Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna stole the show, another character that stood out is Saumya Tandon, who plays Ulfat, the wife of Rehman Dakait. Despite limited screen time, her role received unprecedented recognition. She has now expressed gratitude for it and thanked all her co-stars.

Saumya Tandon on overwhelming response

On Thursday, Saumya took to social media to thank viewers for appreciating her performance. She wrote, “It’s absolutely overwhelming to receive so much love and appreciation for my part in Dhurandhar. It wasn’t a long screen time, but so many of you told me the character made an impact, and that truly means the world to me. I genuinely didn’t expect this response.”

She also thanked Aditya Dhar and wrote, “Credit goes to adityadharfilms. He had told me I would make a mark, and he wrote the scenes with such clarity and depth. Every character is beautifully etched out, and his vision lets everyone shine. Thank you for making me a part of this cult film.”

The actress further gushed over Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh. “Working opposite Akshaye Khanna was an absolute treat. I’ve always admired him, and I learnt so much on set. I truly feel we make a great pair; hoping we get to create that magic again. Ranveer Singh, you are pure gold. You’ve delivered one of your best performances, and I hope this is yet another beautiful beginning for you. Love always.”

About Saumya Tandon

The actress has been a known face on television and rose to fame with her stint in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. This was her big-screen outing after a while.

Earlier, Saumya had praised Dhurandhar for showcasing women respectfully, even in a male-dominated world. She wrote, “In the universe Dhurandhar is set in, the women are treated with dignity. They aren’t beaten, objectified, or shown as one of many wives… it’s important to remember we’re dealing with a very different world.”

Addressing comparisons to other spy franchises, she clarified that her remarks were not aimed at anyone. “And I’m not taking a jab at anyone at all… this film simply didn’t have that grain or need.”
