Priya Kapur became emotional on the birth anniversary of her late spouse Sunjay Kapur and posted a beautiful tribute video on Instagram. The footage showed the entire family, including Karisma Kapoor's children, during the ongoing inheritance fight.

Priya penned that she still feels his presence “like quiet strength beside” her, and expressed gratitude for his “eternal love”.

Priya Kapur penned a hearfelt note

On Wednesday, Priya took to Instagram to share a statement that began with a verse from the Bhagavad Gita: "Whatever action a great man performs, others follow. Whatever course he takes, the world follows. He who lives with purpose and love will never die, for the divine exists in those who serve with devotion."

Priya stated that Sunjay found strength in these words, writing, "You lived these words without ever needing to speak them. You led with kindness, not command. You built with courage, not pride. You gave without expecting, because giving was your nature."

Priya went on to add, "I watched you move through storms with grace, carry burdens with calm, and turn every challenge into purpose. You never spoke of faith; you lived it. You believed in doing, not declaring. Even now, your presence feels like quiet strength beside me. In the laughter of our son. In the walls you built with vision. In the stillness of evenings where I feel your peace."

She further shared, "They say a great man’s actions guide the world, but for me, your greatest act was how you loved, selflessly and completely. Some souls don’t depart; they expand. You are everywhere, yet still right here. My Sunjay, I know you are watching over me. Happy Birthday, J. (infinity and dove emoji)."

The video clubbed a montage of happy memories Priya and Sunjay experienced, ranging from their wedding and Karwa Chauth celebrations to dancing happily with their son, spending quality time with their entire family, and going on vacation together.

Karisma does not appear in the montage, but her children do. Priya also provided photographs of herself and her mother-in-law, Rani.

The video also includes Sunjay's commentary, in which he discusses being a father and husband.

"I am here to safeguard my family. I'm here to ensure that I pass on the appropriate values to my children and family, as well as to maintain a specific vision for growth, honesty, trust, love, and respect," Sunjay stated.

The video closes with a shot of Priya with her hands folded in front of an image of Sunjay in the backdrop.

Priya got emotional as she said, "My Sunjay, you taught us how to visualise and dream big. To believe in ourselves in continuous self-improvement. That was your mantra. To do our duties and Dharma. Your vision will always be alive. You will always stay in motion. You are the best husband, father, friend, and human being I know. Thank you for your eternal love."

All about the inheritance case

Meanwhile, Karisma Kapoor's children, Samaira and Kiaan, with their mother serving as legal guardian, have accused Priya of forging the will and taken her to court. They have questioned the validity of his will.

They say that their late father repeatedly promised them their portion, which was later absent from his final testament. The lawsuit was launched after Priya presented a will supposedly executed on March 21 during a family meeting on July 30. The matter is currently being tried in the Delhi High Court, with both parties levelling several claims against one another.

Sunjay Kapur, chairman of Sona Comstar, a renowned auto parts producer, died in London in June while playing polo. Sunjay was married to Karisma from 2003 to 2016. They have two children together, Samaira and Kiaan. Sunjay and Priya married in 2017.
