Anushka Sharma has completed filming her next, Chakda Xpress, a biopic on iconic Indian woman cricketer, Jhulan Goswami. Slated to release on Netflix next year, the movie marks the actor’s comeback after she embraced motherhood. Sharma shared the update along with pictures from the wrap-up party in which she is dressed in a blue cricket jersey and short hair like the former Indian women’s cricket captain.
Interestingly, Goswami gave the final clap for the film and joined in the revelry. The Chakda Xpress team celebrated the occasion with a two-tier cake with the movie’s title and a clapboard, saying, “65 days, 7 schedules and 6 cities.” Alongside the pictures, Sharma wrote, “It’s a wrap on #ChakdaXpress and thank you Jhulan Goswami for the final clap to bring an end to the shoot! #ComingSoon #ChakdaXpressOnNetflix (sic).”
