'Friends' actor Courteney Cox's paranormal experience with Matthew Perry

Grief can be tough to process and might take a long time for a person to get over the demise of someone close to them. ‘Friends’ star Courteney Cox revealed to have a supposedly paranormal experience with late co-star Matthew Perry. He passed away on October 28, 2023, at his residence in the Los Angeles area. He was 54. Courteney and Matthew played a couple on the show and were famously known as ‘Mondler’. Their camaraderie was not just on-screen but off-screen as well.  During an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, Courteney revealed that Matthew "visits" her frequently.  She said, “You know, he’s just so funny. He has genuinely a huge heart, obviously struggled. I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot if we believe in that. You know, I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew — I feel like there are a lotta people that, I think, guide us. I do sense, yeah, I sense Matthew’s around for sure.” Earlier, Courteney shared a heartfelt post on Instagram which she captioned, "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, here's one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Courteney Cox (@courteneycoxofficial) After Matthew Perry's unexpected death, his co-stars from the show Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, released a joint statement. "We are all completely crushed by Matthew's death. We were more than simply coworkers. We are a family," the statement said. "There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss." "In time, we will say more, as and when we are able," the message said. "For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world." Perry was Friends' droll wingman-turned-leading man 'Chandler Bing' for 10 years, delivering a pitch-perfect comedic performance that garnered him an Emmy nomination in 2002.  (With inputs from ANI)

About India at 2024 Cannes Film Festival Friday evening saw a French theatre in Cannes reverberating with the magic of Indian storytelling - courtesy of Shyam Benegal's classic 'Manthan'. Starring late Smita Patil and actor Naseeruddin Shah, 'Manthan', which was inspired by the pioneering milk cooperative movement of Verghese Kurien, who led 'Operation Flood' to transform India from a milk-deficient country to the world's biggest milk producer and is credited for creating the billion dollar brand 'Amul', created waves at the ongoing 77th edition of Cannes Film Festival with its premiere. The screening of 'Manthan' was attended by Naseeruddin Shah, his wife Ratna Pathak Shah, Prateik Babbar, actor and son of Smita Patil, Nirmala Kurien, daughter of the legendary Dr Verghese Kurien, Father of the White Revolution, Anita Patil Deshmukh and Manya Patil Seth, sisters of Smita Patil, and Dr Jayen Mehta, Managing Director, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd., the producers of the film. At the French Riviera while talking to Brut India about his feelings about the film's screening, nearly 50 years later, Shah said, "It felt unreal to me. I have always seen the red carpet ceremony either on video or in photographs. I have seen all these lovely ladies parading themselves in their gorgeous costumes. I never dreamt I'd be a part of that one day. So my wife and I decided to keep it as simple as possible. And of course, it was a terribly emotional experience. Because there were so many friends who were in the film. Girish was a friend and my teacher. He was the director of FTII. Smita was a dear friend and so was Amrish. None of them are there any longer. So it was a moving experience, I could hardly hold back the tears. And I find that the film has really stood the test of time."

Sean 'Diddy' Combs seen kicking ex-girlfriend Cassie, throwing her to the ground

New shocking details have emerged regarding the allegations of assault against American rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs. A new surveillance video shows the rapper grabbing, shoving, and kicking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, during a 2016 altercation, reports 'People' magazine. The visuals match the allegations she made in a now-settled lawsuit filed last November. In the surveillance video, released by CNN, Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, now 37, exits a hotel room and walks toward an elevator as Combs, now 54, chases after her with a towel around his waist. According to People, when he reaches her, Combs is seen grabbing her by the neck and tossing her to the ground. While Ventura lies on the ground, Combs violently kicks her as he grabs her purse and suitcase. As Ventura lies motionless on the ground, Combs kicks her again and briefly drags her toward the room before letting go and walking away. Seconds later, he sits down in a chair, grabs an object off a table, and throws it at her. Combs then walks away but turns toward Ventura once again when an elevator door opens and someone exits. Ventura's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said in a statement accessed by 'People', “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behaviour of Combs." "Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light," he added. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. The Three Musketeers Part II: Milady movie review

The Three Musketeers Part II movie review

Film: The Three Musketeers Part II : MiladyCast: François Civil, Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris, Eva Green, Lyna Khoudri, Louis Garrel, Pio MarmaïDirector:Martin BourboulonRating: 3/5Runtime: 114 min This historical action-adventure adapted from Alexander Dumas’ stories, is authentic enough and continues gung-ho on an enjoyable romp with old-fashioned swash-buckling Dumas characters. ‘D’Artagnan’ was first off the block, now it’s the turn of the second part, ‘Milady.’ Constance (Lyna Khoudri) has been kidnapped and D’Artagnan (François Civil) is determined to get her back. But the almost fatal attack on King Louis XIII (Louis Garrel) has caused an upheaval. The musketeers are determined to catch the ringleader of that plot before Constance can be rescued. In the meanwhile, the kingdom is plunged into a chaotic internal war. The malevolent Cardinal Richelieu (Eric Ruf) is a suspect and so are the the Queen (Vicky Krieps), her not-so-secret English lover Buckingham (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), and maybe, other disgruntled noblemen. D’Artagnan gets his first clue when he inadvertently rescues Milady (Eva Green) from a prison, armed with a secret, coded letter. The enigmatic Milady de Winter is caught up in a back-story with  Athos (Vincent Cassel) whilst his two pals Aramis (Romain Duris) and the affable Porthos (Pio Marmaï) go about doing their bit for the country. It’s a period-appropriate, costume drama with realistic combat scenes and settings that fit in. The authentic-looking, captivating 17th-century setting forms the backdrop for nihilistic political intrigues, thrilling duels, and secret romance. The rapidly evolving scenarios keep the interest going while the continuous spurts of action (much more than in the book) help ratchet up the tempo and adrenaline. The freshness is missing though. Seriousness has taken over. The story which is in search of a lover and traitors doesn’t allow for much opportunity for the musketeers to be seen together as a bunch. So we never get to experience their playful camaraderie as showcased in the first film. The humor has depleted considerably and a solemn tone takes center stage. This second part of an intended trilogy led by Martin Bourboulon is less frivolous, intent on intrigue and action but the vibrancy is missing. The carousing, romancing, and swashbuckling derring-do get economised while twists, turns, thrills, spills, mistaken identities, and duels front this adventure. The narrative rhythm falters as the story cobbles up add-on sub-plots while racing to its intended finish. The screenplay by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière is rather dull with too many characters and underdeveloped subplots. The central characters may have much more vital things to do than just dally and rally around but their presence on screen has atrophied. The actors do well to imprint their charisma on their respective roles though. Vincent Cassel and François Civil are the pick of the lot while Eva Green, nourishes and brandishes Milady’s villainy with duplicity and flair. This cinematic adaptation of “The Three Musketeers” by Alexandre Dumas deviates from the book but still manages to retain the original’s essence. It’s a classic swashbuckling tale that comes alive replete with adventure, action, and romance.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez (Pic/@jlobrasil on 'X')

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez seen publicly after split speculation

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted separately on May 16. Both Ben and Jen seemed to be wearing their wedding rings, despite rumours suggesting they might be breaking up. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez seen publicly after split speculation Ben Affleck was seen driving alone in Los Angeles in the morning, and the 51-year-old had his left hand out of the window, showing his ring finger. Jennifer, on the other hand, wore her ring as she arrived at an L.A. dance studio. She looked prepared for some dance action in dark blue sweatpants and a cropped blue sweater top. Soon after, they were also spotted buying flowers together! The couple hasn't been seen together in public since March 30 when they were spotted out in New York. Jennifer added to the speculation when she liked an Instagram post from March 19 about healthy relationships. What happened? There seems to be trouble in paradise for Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. The couple tied the knot on July 16, 2022. Now, ahead of their second anniversary, reports have surfaced that the two have decided to end their marriage. According to reports, Ben Affleck has also moved out of the house he had been living with Lopez.  A source told In Touch Weekly, “The writing is on the wall – it’s over. They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!” It has not gone unnoticed that been and Jennifer have not been spending time together or being spotted together in public. 47 days to be precise, since they were publicly photographed, reports People. Ben also gave the MET Gala a miss which was co-chaired by Lopez. Ben’s official excuse for missing the Met Gala was that he was busy filming 'The Accountant 2', but In Touch’s source says he “decided to call it quits” on his marriage to the A-list singer. “He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” the insider adds. “Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.” Reportedly, the reason for their decision to part is their approach in handling the spotlight on them and their relationship.

Ben Affleck living alone amid Jennifer Lopez split rumours: Report

Ben Affleck was seen leaving a residence in Brentwood, Los Angeles, early Thursday morning amid rising speculation about a potential split from his wife, Jennifer Lopez. The actor was photographed alone as he departed the house, which sources reportedly indicate he has been frequenting and spending nights at recently, separate from Lopez, reported TMZ. Affleck's solo sighting comes in the wake of a report suggesting that he and Lopez may have ended their relationship. The report also claimed that Affleck had moved out of their shared Beverly Hills home. Although it's not confirmed if he has permanently relocated, his repeated presence at the Brentwood address over the past week adds weight to the rumours. Notably, both Affleck and Lopez have been seen wearing their wedding rings in recent days, as per TMZ. In their latest outings, Affleck's wedding band was visible as he drove away from the Brentwood home. Similarly, Lopez has been spotted wearing her ring, including during her solo appearance at the Met Gala last week. Affleck's absence from the event was initially attributed to his filming schedule for 'The Accountant 2,' although he attended Tom Brady's roast in LA the night before. Lopez has also been active in Los Angeles this week, seen house hunting with her producing partner, which now raises questions about whether she is looking for a place for herself. The couple, famously known as Bennifer, had purchased a substantial estate just last year, but their last public appearance together was in March in New York City. Since then, they haven't been photographed together, according to TMZ. Adding another layer to the situation, Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, resides in Brentwood. Affleck has been spotted with Garner attending their children's events recently. However, he is not staying at Garner's house but at his own place nearby, as per TMZ. The Garfield Movie review

The Garfield Movie review: A kiddie flick designed to generate dividends

Film: The Garfield MovieCast (voice): Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Harvey Guillen, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, Ving RhamesDirector: Mark DindalRating: 3/5Runtime: 101 min. Created by Jim Davies in 1976 for the comic called ‘Jon’ in the little-known locally published Pendleton Times, the greedy orange cat with a heart of gold, way back in 2002, featured in 2570 newspapers worldwide with 263 million readers. So Garfield’s popularity was never in question and the opportunity to translate that success into cinema was a lure that never really went away. This second film to feature the orange cat Garfield, has the Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat have an unexpected reunion with his long lost father Vic (Samuel L. Jackson) - after which Garfield (Chris Pratt) who appears to have abandonment issues, and his canine friend Odie, are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a high-stakes heist. This is a kind of origin story. We see baby Garfield being left behind by his father Vic and Jon (Nicholas Hoult) adopting him and later, adding Odie (Harvey Guillén)  as the two members of his small family. Things come to a head when Garfield and his inseparable buddy Odie are kidnapped by crazy cat Jinx (Hannah Waddington) and her two mean service dogs Roland and Nolan. Vic’s role in all that comes to the fore when Jinx puts forth her proposition. The script gets a little wayward, but is funny enough and carries a simple message on family ties. The plot is a little far-fetched, the story is weird - but since we’re dealing with cats it’s all kosher. The film feels a little disjointed as the storyline goes to extreme lengths to justify some laughs. Garfield is a fun character, but here it’s Odie makes more of an impression without even trying. He barely utters a word but as an audience we want him to have a say too. The film may not be as good as the animated series “Garfield and Friends” but it manages to be likable nevertheless. The Voice cast is competent and the sound design, and editing are fairly proficient. John Debney’s background score which also includes the Mission Impossible theme, provides quite an impetus for involvement. The animation is good - given to cartoon effects and the humor relies on cat jokes to get in the laughs. The drawing style is reminiscent of the comic strip. Slapstick humor is what counts here. In one highlight sequence we see Garfield watching ‘Catflix’ while relaxing after a heavy meal and even at the end credits we see funny cat movies livening-up the humor quotient.   This is a fairly decent outing for the pasta-loving cat and is likely to keep the kids entertained.

IF movie review

IF movie review: A whimsical experience

Film: IF (Imaginary Friends)Cast: Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Catherine Daddario, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Richard Jenkins, Awkwafina, George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Blake Lively, Louis Gossett Jr.Director: John KrasinskiRating: 3/5Runtime: 104 min A thought-provoking mix of live action and animation, this film tells the story of a young girl, Bea (Cailey Fleming), who suffers a great irreparable loss (of her mother) at a young age. We see that 12-year old Bea and her father (John Krasinski) have subsequently returned to New York and Bea is expected to stay with her Grandmother (Fiona Shaw) in her Brooklyn apartment, while dad is in hospital having to undergo some medical procedure. Bea appears to have developed her own coping mechanism to deal with her grief and loneliness. She begins to see Imaginary Friends. Fortunately, the former clown Cal (Ryan Reynolds) who lives upstairs is also dealing with the same kind of hallucination. He even knows what’s going on. They are seeing imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real-life friends have grown up. In order to save these ‘IFs’ from extinction Cal and Bea come up with a plan to reunite them with their former human friends. The themes of coping with grief and loss as a child, losing your imagination as an adult and thoughts about mortality make the narrative a little heavy. Krasinski who has written and directed this movie, tries to make the experience light enough with several dabs at magic, humor and light-weight amusement. The characters are colorful and some of the jokes manage to score laughs. The movie takes a bit of time to come into its own though. The kids might get restive because other than the imaginary friends there’s little here to get them completely ensnared. Even for the adults the narrative may seem a bit confusing because it’s only when the twist occurs ( almost 90 min into the film) that all the holes in the story appear to get filled up. The themes are largely adult even though we see a child in the midst of them. There are of course bits of subject matter that would definitely appeal to children. The movie makes magic realism it’s forte offering up a seamless blend of live-action and animation with realistic locations. The colorful animated characters are endearing too - giant Blue (Steve Carell), chirpy Blossom (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) & Lewis (Louis Gossett Jr.) who set up the retirement home for abandoned ‘IFs,’ are some of the characters that reach out and touch you. Then there is a unicorn , a pink alligator, a detective shadow, and even an invisible Keith, who are equally quirky, odd, and adorable.  The extensive A list voice cast includes Emily Blunt, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney, and Blake Lively to name just a few of the vocal cameos. The narrative does get a little slow and sentimental and the pace lags while the music score tries to charge-up the emotions. The screenplay takes the slow approach to making the experience meaningful. Animation, character design, color distinctiveness, Cinematography and CGI are excellent. The narrative takes a melodramatic turn once the big reveal is done. But even so, while scoring heavy-duty emotion towards the end, it doesn’t make for complete satisfaction. While the movie may not be compelling as an experience, it does invoke some thought and provokes emotional responses that have remained hidden for want of facilitation. This film has effective strategies within that could help train students regarding the psycho-social aspects of childhood. Some of the kids might be happy with the imaginative storyline, vibrant, colorful characters and an eventual happy ending while the adults might get involved in the exploration of adult and child psychology. Overall, this film is an original experience with some gratifying humor and could even get you to shed a few tears. The film is life affirming and just a little too cute to be soulfully entertaining though.

Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni's romantic drama 'It Ends With Us' unveils trailer

Sony Pictures has lifted the curtain on the much-anticipated trailer for 'It Ends With Us,' offering viewers a tantalizing glimpse into the world of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's tumultuous romance. Based on Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel, the film's journey to the screen has been fraught with delays and setbacks, but its arrival is now imminent. Watch Video Initially slated for a February release, the film faced a roadblock when production came to a standstill amidst the Writers Guild of America strike. Subsequently, a June 21 premiere was deferred, leading to the current debut date of August 9. Set against the poignant melody of Taylor Swift's 'My Tears Ricochet,' the trailer succinctly encapsulates the essence of the plot. Following the life of Lily Bloom (portrayed by Blake Lively), the narrative unfolds as she navigates the complexities of love, trauma, and resilience, as per Deadline. A chance encounter with the charismatic neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (played by Justin Baldoni) ignites a passionate connection, yet shadows from Lily's past resurface with the return of her first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar). Directed by Justin Baldoni and produced by Alex Saks, Jamey Heath, and Christy Hall, 'It Ends With Us' boasts a stellar cast including Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, and Amy Morton, reported Deadline. Adam Sandler all set to return for 'Happy Gilmore' sequel

The 1996 golf comedy 'Happy Gilmore' is getting a sequel and actor Adam Sandler is all set to return, reported People. Netflix confirmed Adam Sandler, 57, would be returning as the titular character he played in the beloved 1996 golf comedy. "Happy Gilmore is back! Adam Sandler will reprise his iconic role in a brand new movie coming to Netflix," the streaming service wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). Sandler later said in a video on X, "It's been 25 years since I've done this," as he took to the golf course. "Let's see what happens, I'm scared! Shooter McGavin this is for you... that went pretty well, you're dead Shooter!" he added, referencing Christopher McDonald's character in the film. McDonald is best known for playing the villainous professional golfer Shooter McGavin in the 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore. McDonald, 69, confirmed back in March that Sandler was working on a sequel to the hit flick. While speaking to Audacy's 92.3 The Fan, McDonald said, "I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, 'McDonald, you're gonna love this.' " "I said, 'What?' He says, 'How about that?' and he shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2," the actor added. He continued, "Maybe you should cut that out because I don't want to be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, 'Wow, that would be awesome.' " Drew Barrymore, Sandler's 49-year-old pal, stated in April that she emailed the actor about the potential sequel when addressing McDonald's comments on The Drew Barrymore Show. "Are you kidding me? I want it, I need it, and I stayed up last night with my daughter watching Billy Madison," the actress said while noting another of Sandler's classic '90s comedies. "I sent Sandler a video of that, and then he sent me another video back and I'm waiting to see if he's confirming about the Happy Gilmore 2 script." "So this just in, breaking news: I'll just say this, from my source, that it is in process," Barrymore later added, presumably after receiving a response from Sandler himself. "There is a process and that process is in process," reported People. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
