Socialite Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce just 72 days after marrying basketball player Kris Humphries, denies that she married only for TV shows.

"I married for love. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show," Kardashian wrote on his blog.

Kardashian and Humphries tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in August that was televised for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". She filed for divorce Monday, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The reality TV star admits it was a mistake showing the weeding on TV, reports people.com.

"I share so much of my life on a reality show that contemplating whether to even film my wedding was a tough decision to make, and maybe it turned out not be the smartest decision. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn't get off when now I know I probably should have," she wrote.

The 26-year-old Kris is, however, devastated that Kim wants to dump him. He was to appear at a Las Vegas club Nov 5 but has cancelled the plans.

Kris said Oct 31 that he was committed to the marriage.

"I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce," he said. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to work."
