RM also shared that his parents’ nine-year relationship and early marriage deeply influenced his thoughts on love and family. Despite admiring their bond, he recognizes that his own life path differs
RM BTS
BTS member RM has always lived his life based on trial and error. After being called out for his misogynistic lyrics, the rapper consulted with female instructors, apologised for his lapse and promised to do better. He has decided to educate himself and form his own opinions. During a recent livestream on the fan communication network Weverse, the team's leader discussed how the world pushes individuals, particularly women, to live a certain way and condemned the habit of intentionally selecting their lives. His words are gaining traction both domestically and globally due to their progressive perspective.
RM talks about marriage plans
The BTS member is always open about his plans to start a family. He even mentioned desiring a child in his life, which is something many K-pop singers shun for fear of getting cancelled. However, RM's candour has struck a chord with many who value his openness in discussing something so natural. His October 5 livestream was on the same theme, and he earned a lot of acclaim for his kind-hearted choice of words.
“When it comes to marriage, people feel rushed and pressured. There are realistic parts too. Especially for women, it seems like society and the media keep putting pressure on them. On all of us, really. I just wish people could live in their own way. There’s no right answer.” He further quipped that if he marries too soon, his fans will be disappointed, but his current lifestyle may turn him off the idea entirely.
RM reveals he is inspired by his parents when it comes to relationships and marriage
He talked about how he grew up watching his parents raise a family. RM's parents had a long-term relationship despite living only 5 minutes apart. At his age, they already had a three-year-old child, so he holds them in great regard. “Seeing my parents’ 9 years of dating period, naturally thought I'd get married, but I'm already 32 now... if I get married too soon, you all might feel sad, at this rate, I most probably end up not getting married at all.”
The artist hopes that people would live their lives as they see fit while also allowing others to do the same. He just stated that he will conduct an exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to display his personal artwork.
