Actress and former EXID member Hani (real name Ahn Hee-yeon) recently opened up about her inner battles on a well-known chat show about mental health. Hani was not wearing her glitzy stage persona and was instead dressed comfortably in a tracksuit. The actress shared, "I've been good at sensing others' emotions since childhood. I've always lived by first considering someone else's position and feelings."

Hani's further revelation left everyone feeling relatable. she revealed, 'I have realised that I am actually someone who is completely oblivious to social cues." The revelation resonates with many young readers who struggle between societal expectations and personal desires. As they are constantly trying to strike a balance between the two, but are losing their real selves in the process.
Hani went on to confess about the career pressure that she faced, 'It's a job where you have to show yourself, and what I do matters. Especially after gaining love through fan cams, I felt this overwhelming pressure to meet people's expectations.'
She further quipped, 'I started my entertainment career at such a young age that when my contract ended, I realised I knew nothing about the world. I had lived like a frog in a well."
Hani reveals postponing her wedding with Yang Jae-woong
Due to difficulties affecting his medical career, Hani had to postpone her September wedding to psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong. She shared, 'I realised that things happening to me aren't always within my control. I learned that my life doesn't always go according to my will.'
The mental health expert provided an accurate analysis that she was missing the social cues that she really needed to hold on to. Hani added, "For the first time, I felt deep depression and thought I couldn't live like this. It was overwhelming. I wanted to run away."
After making an exit from EXID, Hani went on to venture out into acting, and she has been a part of numerous shows. She debuted in TV and Web series with shows like SF8, The Spies Who Loved Me, XX and How to be thirty.
