The Madras high court yesterday granted an interim stay on the order of a single judge, who dismissed a suit filed by Kajal Aggarwal seeking Rs 2.50 crore damages from a coconut oil manufacturing firm. She had filed the case claiming the Tamil Nadu-based firm violated the agreement.

The Singham (2011) and Special 26 (2013) actor maintained that the company had no right to use the ad materials of 2008 in subsequent years without her consent. Kajal's claim was opposed by the firm which contended that there was no violation. The actor claimed that the single judge's dismissal of the suit was not based on law and facts of the case.
