Jr NTR is currently busy with the shoot of Prashanth Neel’s next, which is expected to be a big-scale project. The film is reportedly titled Dragon. The film had hit a roadblock after NTR halted the shoot as he was not happy with the script. Now, reports are circulating that the makers are set to resume filming and are targeting a June 2026 release.

According to a report by Aakashavaani, Jr NTR’s NTRNeel is expected to resume filming from the first week of December. The upcoming schedule is said to be a demanding 20-night shoot. Times Now has reported that the film is slated to release in theatres on June 25, 2026.

In October, reports came in that Jr NTR had halted the shoot of the film since he was “not fully happy” with what had been shot so far. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the actor, who was recently seen in War 2, has asked the director to work on the script again. “NTR wants Dragon to succeed at any cost. He is willing to go that extra mile to ensure it turns out just right. NTR doesn’t dislike what Prashanth has shot so far, but he feels it can be better. He wants the content to be better than what it is right now. They may even re-shoot some of what has already been filmed,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed. The film was earlier scheduled to release on Sankranti.

Director Koratala Siva had apparently penned a new draft for the sequel, but it reportedly did not land well with Tarak. We are just facing a small pause due to the Prashanth Neel project,” the actor clarified, putting the rumours to rest.
Apart from Tarak, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kalaiyarasan, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Srikanth, Murali Sharma, Abhimanyu Singh and several others in key roles.
