Pawan Kalyan Hari Hara Veera Mallu
Following multiple delays, Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu finally hit the theatres on Thursday, July 24. Although the audience's reactions to the film have been largely negative, thanks to Pawan's star power, the film has still managed to enjoy an impressive opening at the box office. Amid its box office success, a video has gone viral on social media, wherein the actor’s fans are seen creating chaos during a screening in the UK by throwing confetti to celebrate the release.

The theatre staff soon halted the screening, urging fans not to create a ruckus or litter the venue by throwing confetti. Nevertheless, Pawan Kalyan's fans did not seem to be bothered, despite the requests. A video shared by a TikTok user of the incident has gone viral on the internet. In the video, the staff can be heard saying that if the fans wanted to celebrate, they should have taken prior permission.

Meanwhile, a fan was heard noting that no notice was put up outside the cinema hall that prohibited the use of confetti, while another fan remarked that instead of complaining about confetti, they should instead focus on fixing the theatre's low speaker volume. A staff member tried to explain that littering the cinema hall with confetti would make it difficult for them to clean it later. However, the fans quickly changed the subject and said that someone was recording a video of the entire situation, instead of acknowledging the concern.
Internet reacts
As soon as the video went viral, the internet users were miffed at the fans not just for creating the ruckus, but for their reactions as well. One user on Instagram commented, “Good on the staff absolutely outrageous," while another wrote, “The guy said if you put a note outside we won't do it. Ah, yes, because clearly the only thing stopping y’all from behaving like decent humans is the absence of a polite little note outside. Maybe next time we’ll add one that says, Try not to act like it’s your uncle’s farmhouse party.”
A user on Reddit noted that some US theatres allow throwing confetti, but require you to clean it up, saying, “Actually, in the US, for some theatres like mine, for FDFS, you are allowed to throw confetti in theatres with permission of the owner, but you have to clean it up. That's their rule. If you don’t, then they ban you.” Several users joined in and said things like, “Make them clean it,” and “I am happy they are getting called out.”
