The Malaysia Book of Records recognizes the audio debut of Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which took place on December 27 at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. Over 85,000 people attended the lavish event, including fans, celebrities, and members of the general public from all over the world. This is the first time such a large crowd has attended the audio release of a Tamil movie outside of India.

The event, known as Thalapathy Thiruvizha, honoured Vijay's thirty-year legacy. According to industry insiders, the attendance exceeded projections and demonstrated the expanding global appeal of Tamil cinema. Due to the enormous turnout, reports have revealed that Jana Nayagan's audio launch has been officially listed in the Malaysia Book of Records.

Jana Nayagan makes it to Malaysia Book of Records

Jana Nayagan will make her Pongal debut opposite Sivakarthikeyan's historical movie Parasakthi in 2026. Highlights from the event will be made available to a larger audience on January 4 through the audio launch, which will be webcast on Zee5.

Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde play important parts in H Vinoth's film Jana Nayagan, which stars Vijay as a police officer. Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, and Gautham Vasudev Menon are present in the cast.

According to reports, the movie's pre-release sales had surpassed Rs 325 crore, including substantial earnings from international, audio, and streaming rights. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the international rights brought in Rs 80 crore, the audio rights Rs 35 crore, and the streaming rights Rs 110 crore. Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK are co-producers of the movie, which is produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions.

Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, while Pradeep E. Ragav handled editing and Sathyan Sooryan handled cinematography. The size of the event demonstrates the fan base's commitment and the production team's ambition.

Vijay on pursuing career in politics

In an emotional farewell to acting, Vijay reaffirmed his desire to pursue a career in politics at the ceremony. "I entered cinema expecting to build a sand house, but you provided me with a palace," he remarked, thanking his followers. He added that having "a strong enemy" now inspires him to aim higher.

"History will repeat next year," Vijay said in closing, alluding to the impending Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election and indicating his political plans. The event's magnitude and importance as Vijay's turning point have generated a lot of discussion.
