Actress Trisha, best known for her hit films in the Tamil and Telugu cinema, is reportedly planning to tie the knot soon. The internet is once again buzzing with news of her marriage, and if recent reports are to be believed, her parents have found a new match for the actress and have approved a Chandigarh-based businessman for their daughter.
Actress Trisha to tie the knot?
According to a report by Siasat.com, the 42-year-old actress's parents have now approved a new match for her. The groom is believed to be a businessman from Chandigarh, who has recently expanded his ventures from Australia to India. Although not many details about Trisha’s alleged groom, including his name, are known as of now, it is reported that the two families have known each other for years.
However, it must be noted that there’s still no official confirmation from Trisha or her family regarding these claims.
Trisha's views on marriage and past relationships
Addressing her wedding rumours earlier, Trisha had said that she is open to marriage if she finds the right person. However, she added that “the right time hasn’t come yet.” The actress further clarified that she is currently happy being single and focused on her work and personal priorities. For the uninitiated, Trisha was earlier engaged to entrepreneur Varun Manian in 2015. However, the engagement was called off soon after. Reports suggested that differences arose between the couple over her decision to continue acting after marriage.
Over the years, there have been rumours of romance between Vijay and Trisha, who have remained one of Tamil cinema’s most-loved on-screen duos. Their chemistry in hits like Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008) impressed fans. However, after Kuruvi, the two suddenly stopped working together.
This sparked gossip that their close bond during Ghilli had turned into something more. Rumours also claimed that Vijay’s family had asked the actor, who married his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam in 1999 and also has two children with her, to keep his distance from Trisha post the film. Both of them have denied any romance, insisting they were “just friends."
