Krushna Abhishek says reunion with Sunita Ahuja on Laughter Chefs broke the ice

Krushna Abhishek and Sunita Ahuja made headlines on Wednesday after pictures and videos of their reunion from the sets of Laughter Chefs went viral on social media. Sunita arrived as a guest on the show where Krushna and his wife Kashmera are contestants, marking the ending their decade-long family feud. For the unversed, Krushna is Govinda's nephew. Now, the actor and comedian has opened up about the incident. Krushna Abhishek on reuniting with Sunita Ahuja  Talking about the emotional moment, Krushna told Hindustan Times, “This was one of the most memorable episodes we have done during Laughter Chefs. I didn’t know. The creatives and channel kept it a secret. I didn’t know that Sunita ji is coming, even Kashmera didn’t know. Bharti, who is the host of the show also didn't know about it until it was announced. It was a shock for everyone and such an emotional moment because after such a long time we were meeting maami.” “Especially it was for Kashmera because ek do baar in the past I have seen maami at events but Kashmera to 10 saal mein takrai bhi nahi hai unse. So it was one of the most special moments which we will remember for life. So bohot maza aaya,” he added. Krushna emotionally recalled the time he spent with Govinda and Sunita growing up, saying, “Sunita maami ne mujhe bache ki tarah pala hai, badha kiya hai, main unke ghar par raha hun 8 saal. We had a joint family. Kal humari itni baatein Hui hai, jo ice break hui. Jo band kamre mein hona tha wo channel ne stage pe kar diya." Krushna and Govinda's conflict Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera had a public fallout with actor uncle Govinda and his wife Sunit Ahuja almost a decade back, where they indulged in public jibes. They did not speak to each other for years at a stretch. The conflict started when Govinda expressed displeasure at Krushna for making jokes about him on television. Over time, Sunita also distanced herself from Krushna and his family. To add to the feud, Kashmera's tweet about ‘people who dance for money’ several years ago offended Sunita, who thought it was aimed at Govinda. Matters escalated when Krushna accused Govinda of not visiting his children in the hospital, while Govinda labelled his nephew a “liar”, leading to a rather public showdown. In 2024, Sunita even refused to be a part of comedian Kapil Sharma’s show because of Krushna and his wife, Kashmera Shah’s presence. However, in recent years, Krushna has tried to make amends through several interviews.

Shubhangi Atre on Women's Reservation Bill: 'I have a problem'

Sharing her opinion on the Women's Reservation Bill during an exclusive conversation with IANS, popular television actress Shubhangi Atre has revealed that she has a problem with reservations.  The 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!' actress said that she believes that a person should achieve everything through merit and not simply because of their gender. She stated that a woman is no less than a man in any aspect. Shubhangi told IANS, "Look, there are two aspects to this. First, I don't know why there were less women in politics. I watch the news, but I don't know why there were less women and why people are not going into politics. They are coming, and they are getting a place. This is a very good thing. But I have a problem with this reservation. I really have a problem. I feel that if any person reaches anywhere, it should be because of their merit. We are no less than a man." Citing an example from her personal life, Shubhangi revealed that her father has always told her and her sisters that they are capable of doing anything a man can do. "We are three sisters. And my father has always taught us that there is nothing in the world that a man can do, and you cannot do. So here I have a problem that women do not need a reservation at all. We are the creators. Nature has given us such a big responsibility to create a new life. So you don't need a reservation." Reiterating that women in general are extremely strong, she concluded, saying, "We are anyway very strong. We are emotionally strong. In crisis management, we are very strong." Shubhangi is best known for her role as Angoori Bhabhi in the popular show "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!". This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
