Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile: Bharat Ahlawwat lay on real ice slab for jail track

Zee TV’s popular show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, starring Bharat Ahlawwat (Raghav) and Aayushi Khurrana (Reet) in lead roles, is all set to showcase some daunting sequences featuring Raghav. Bharat Ahlawwat lay on an ice slab for the upcoming track In the upcoming episodes, viewers will witness Raghav being imprisoned after being accused of Kriti’s murder. The upcoming scenes promise to be hard-hitting, as Raghav is subjected to intense torture, including a sequence where he is made to lie on an ice slab while the police try to force him into confessing to the crime. Although the scenes have turned out visually compelling, shooting them was both mentally and physically exhausting for Bharat, who performed on a real ice slab, exposing his bare body to extreme cold. The actor said, “It was a very different experience for me. I’ve never done something like this before. The jail torture scene was quite new and challenging. When I first read it, I was excited as an artist to get the opportunity to perform something so different. The scene wasn’t very long, but the intensity was high. The most difficult part was lying on ice. He explains, “There was only a very thin sheet, which kept shifting with movement, and since the scene involved struggling and reacting to torture, controlling the body while maintaining modesty was quite tough." Bharat Ahlawwat on how the sequence impacted his body Sharing his experience of shooting the sequence, Bharat revealed that at one point, it felt like his mind had stopped working. After the shoot, it had a real physical impact; my skin turned red, and at one point, it honestly felt like my mind had stopped working because of the extreme cold and discomfort. But that’s part of the process as an actor. Overall, it was challenging, but I also really enjoyed doing it. The shoot has turned out very well, and I hope the audience connects with and appreciates the scene.” The show is currently keeping viewers hooked with its gripping storyline. As Raghav stands accused of Kriti’s murder, questions arise, Is Kriti (Gouri Agarwal) really dead? And if she is alive, who is the mastermind behind trapping Raghav, Kriti herself or Sharda Bua (Jayati Bhatia)? Watch all the drama unfold in Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile every day at 10:30 PM, only on Zee TV!

Sonalika Joshi

Exclusive | Sonalika Joshi recalls lively Gudi Padwa celebrations on TMKOC sets

Television actress Sonalika Joshi, best known for playing Madhavi Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, opened up about her cherished traditions and memories surrounding Gudi Padwa in an exclusive conversation with mid-day. The actress shared how the festival holds deep cultural and emotional significance for her, both at home and on set. On celebrating the festival at home Calling it an important ritual, Sonalika said, “Gudi Padwa is a proper ritual at home. So we have a whole procedure at home. We call it Guddi Ubharna. We make it stand. So the ritual is done here. They get it ready. So it's a complete technical. And here in Guddi Padwa, there is no fun level. Here you just do the puja. You go and get ready wearing a sari. And you do the puja.” Grand celebration on TMKOC sets While celebrations at home are more traditional and focused on rituals, the atmosphere on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is far more festive and lively. Recalling those moments, she said, “And if we do a song of Gudi Padwa here, so definitely we have a lot of fun. Because for two years, I think on Gudi Padwa day, all of us together, with flags in our hands, we have made a song. So they made those mind-blowing songs.” She further painted a vibrant picture of the on-set celebrations, adding, “Then the whole society comes together. Everyone is wearing a feta. Ladies are wearing Nawari. So all of them look very cute. Everyone looks beautiful in Nawari. So all of them come together and celebrate. It's a lot of fun. But it doesn't happen every year. But this year, we enjoy it a lot.” Speaking about preparations at home, Sonalika highlighted how simple and effortless the festival is compared to others. “But we don't have a lot of preparation. If you bring the preparation the next day, because everything is ready. For example, you have to put a thumbnail on a Sikh. Then if you bring the other things from the market the next day, because the flowers should be fresh. You have to get ready-made Bata Sikhi stuff the next day.” She concluded by comparing it with bigger festivals, saying, “So as such, the festival is very big for us. Its symbol is very big for us. But its preparation is so small. Anyone can do it. It gets ready easily. We prepare for Diwali as much as we do for Diwali. We prepare for Diwali for a month. Even when Ganesh comes home, we have to prepare a lot. So the preparation for Gudi Padwa is not that much. It gets ready a day before.”

Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan: Shubhangi Latkar takes a stand against dowry

Zee TV’s popular show Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, starring Sheizaan Khan (Siddhu) and Amandeep Sidhu (Sneha) in lead roles, has consistently been at the forefront of highlighting hard-hitting social issues. From addressing society's unhealthy preference for a male child to depicting the challenges women face because of their gender, the show has struck a chord with audiences through its powerful storytelling. Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan to address dowry In the recent track, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan sheds light on the deep-rooted stigma of dowry. The narrative takes a poignant turn as Ganga Mai (Shubhangi Latkar) is forced to mortgage her house to meet the hefty demand placed by Sahana’s (Srishti Jain) mother-in-law.  The upcoming episodes will witness how Ganga Mai, Sahana, and Sneha take a bold stand against dowry.  Actor Shubhangi Latkar shares that while dowry remains a serious social issue, portraying such intense situations as an actor can be equally challenging. Shubhangi shares, “As an actor, I try to honestly portray her helplessness as well as her inner strength. It’s a reminder of how deeply rooted such social pressures can be. At the same time, her journey reflects courage and hope for change.” "No relationship is worth going against your self-respect" Speaking about whether she has personally witnessed such situations, the actress adds, “Yes, in earlier times, such situations were not uncommon, even if not always spoken openly. In our family, there was always a clear belief that relationships should be built on respect, not transactions. We chose to walk away from anything that didn’t align with our values. I feel it’s important to stand firm, even if it’s difficult.” Shubhangi, who is also a mother in real life, emphasizes the importance of raising daughters with strong values. She shares, “As a mother, I always tell my daughter to value herself and never compromise on her dignity. No relationship is worth accepting something that goes against your self-respect. I want every daughter to believe that she deserves love without conditions. Taking a stand may feel tough, but it is always the right thing to do.” The track will also reveal how Durgawati (Indira Krishna) discovers that Siddhu is in love with someone else and not Purvi (Yasmeen).
