Exclusive | Shubhangi Atre reveals she enjoyed playing Angoori for a decade

In an exclusive conversation with midday, Shubhangi Atre reflected on her long-standing role in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, her approach to work, and her plans for the future. “I was very content. You know, that is my, it's my habit. Whenever I'm somewhere, like if I'm cooking food, and this thing, like my mother taught me that whatever you are doing, if you're cleaning the bathroom, if you're cleaning the toilet, then only clean the toilet. If you're cooking food, then only cook the food. You know, you should be, your presence should be 100 percent, whatever you're doing. So, whenever, like from last 10 years, when I was I was putting my heart and soul and I was there, like I was 100 percent, I was there. You know? That's right. That's why I never tried anything else. I was doing this character only,” she explained. But Bhabiji, running from last to the end, sustained for all these years. All these years. And every character is very relatable. Very, very relatable. You know, Angoori's character has housewives. Anita's character has girls, you know, who are a little bossy, classy, you know. Then Tikka, Tillu, Malkhan, those guys, who sit at the tea stall. Right. So, each and every character is very relatable, very earthy. An individual can connect with them.” Speaking about her film debut as Angoori, she shared, "Yes, Raviji, Mukeshji, Bijendra Kala, then Nirahuaji, then Mushtaq Khan sir. Raviji has his own performance. He impressed me with his effortless performance. So, I had a wonderful time. And yes, like you said, you'll see me in the film. But I want you to continue to give so much love to this character. And please, we need your best wishes. It should be a blockbuster." Shubhangi Atre on missing out on other roles Shubhangi also opened up about her career after a decade-long stint in one role. "I have been in the industry since the last 19 years. Vishal Dadlani

Vishal Dadlani slams newbie singer for trying to meet him via politician

Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani recently grabbed attention after taking a firm stand against the culture of sifarish, using influential connections to secure opportunities, in the music industry. Known for his outspoken nature, Dadlani shared a strong message on social media, revealing that he blocked both a politician and an aspiring singer after receiving a recommendation call on the singer’s behalf. Vishal Dadlani reacts to a budding singer using political influence The musician, who forms one half of the popular duo Vishal-Shekhar, made it clear that he has no tolerance for influence-based requests. In his post, he stated that he has “zero respect for people who try to move ahead through contacts,” emphasizing that such approaches only damage an artist’s credibility. He added bluntly, “Now, even if you’re a great singer, I have no interest in working with you,” underscoring his belief that talent should speak for itself. Dadlani also used the moment to offer advice to newcomers hoping to break into the industry. He urged aspiring singers to focus on honing their craft rather than chasing shortcuts. According to him, patience and consistent effort are far more valuable than leveraging political or social connections. He stressed that genuine talent eventually gets recognized, while attempts to fast-track success often reveal a lack of confidence in one’s own abilities. Although he did not disclose the identities of the politician or the singer involved, the incident has sparked conversation online about fairness and access within the entertainment world. Many fans praised Dadlani for standing by merit and calling out practices that are often whispered about but rarely addressed publicly. Vishal Dadlani on previous such issues The episode also highlights a broader debate about how opportunities are distributed in creative industries. Dadlani’s remarks reinforce the idea that professional spaces should reward skill and dedication rather than privilege. This is not the first time the composer has spoken candidly about industry issues, and his latest statement serves as both a warning to those seeking favors and an encouragement to artists striving to succeed on their own terms. Vishal has been quite open about such matters previously as well. Currently, the composer is judging Indian Idol.

Divyaa Agarwal

The 50: Divyaa Agarwal's team issues strong note against Bhavya Singh's claims

Tensions flared inside The 50’s palace after Divyaa Agarwal found herself at the centre of multiple confrontations, leading to fractured friendships and an emotional breakdown. What began as a task related disagreement quickly escalated into personal clashes and sharp exchanges. The 50 streams daily on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM and airs at 10:30 PM on Colors. Divyaa and Bhavya's fight The trouble started when Lion introduced a task based on “Bal (strength) and Buddhi (brains)”. During the discussion, Divyaa bluntly told Archana that she lacked the intelligence to perform the task, saying, “Tumhare paas buddhi nahi hai, tumse yeh task nahi hoga,” a remark that left Archana furious and set off a chain of heated reactions across the house. Given Bhavya’s close bond with Archana, she too was upset with Divyaa. While Bhavya was seen crying with Archana over the incident, Divyaa allegedly asked Bhavya in a rude tone to get her a tissue. Though Bhavya did so, she firmly asked Divyaa to speak respectfully, ending the exchange by saying she should be the last person Divyaa messes with. Divyaa, on the other hand, appeared hurt and confused, sharing that the show was costing her friendships especially with people who were once close to her. The tension deepened when Bhavya later vented to Sapna and Arya, calling Divyaa fake and a gold digger, and remarking that it was no surprise no one liked her.Away from the conflict, Divyaa broke down while speaking to Siwet and Yuvika, admitting she was missing home. She spoke emotionally about her husband, saying he made her a better person and taught her the true meaning of friendship, adding, “My husband is my strength.” She even said, “I have been hated by everyone on every reality show. I have played alone and won all of them.” The statement wasn’t just a response to the immediate conflict but a reflection of her long journey in reality television, where she has often stood her ground despite opposition.  However, the situation grew murkier when Bhavya claimed that Divyaa is separated from her husband, contradicting Divyaa’s emotional account. From task based friction to deeply personal revelations, the episode highlighted how quickly alliances can crumble in The 50, turning gameplay into an emotional battlefield. Diyaa's team issues a stern note Now, Divyaa's team has issued a statement reacting to the situation, "This is to address an issue that aired on The 50 episode last night. What was said and done was deeply uncalled for and unethical. Repeatedly claiming ‘I won’t say anything’ and then continuing to blabber baseless personal narratives only exposes intent, not truth. This was never meant to be a personal battleground it’s a game designed to test strength, strategy, and the mind. Dragging someone’s personal life into the narrative reflects far more on the person choosing to do so than on the one being spoken about. Divyaa has always stood for dignity, loyalty, and genuine friendships, and those who truly know her know exactly where she stands." The statement further read, "Her habit of calling people over has always been a reflection of her warm, welcoming nature. She genuinely enjoys hosting, connecting, and making people feel at home that is who she is. Twisting this into a narrative of loneliness or emotional dependency is not only false but deeply unfair. Creating such assumptions and influencing others to view her through that lens says far more about the mindset behind the narrative than about Divyaa herself. Attempts to pull her down by misrepresenting her intentions will never define her strength, grace, or self-worth. You don’t expose others when you speak without facts you only expose yourself."

Sudha Chandran

Sudha Chandran recalls a paranormal experience while shooting in Gujarat

Veteran television actor and acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer Sudha Chandran recently opened up about a harrowing paranormal experience she says she faced during a shoot in Gujarat, describing how it left her frozen and fearful until she turned to her faith for strength. The 60-year-old, who has long maintained she is sensitive to unusual energies, said she can “sense paranormal activity very quickly” and recounted the unsettling night in vivid detail. Sudha Chandran details about the incident Sudha explained that after a long day of filming, she reached her motel room around 11:30 pm, ate dinner and went to sleep beside her mother. She said she woke up suddenly to find a cupboard open and “could sense an energy moving towards me.” As the presence seemed to approach, she described it feeling like “a heavy weight pressing down on my chest.” She recalled desperately trying to speak or move, but “no sound was coming out.” Even though her mother was right next to her, she said she couldn’t lift her hands. Sudha said the energy seemed to grow stronger and “growling,” giving her the terrifying sense that it was “entering my body.” In that moment, she said her only recourse was prayer: “I took the name of Lord Kartik, somehow struck my mother with my hand, and suddenly my voice came back.” The heavy pressure, she said, lifted from her chest, leaving her shaken but relieved. Her mother then applied vibhuti, sacred ash, which helped her calm down. In the same interview, Sudha also shared another eerie experience from a shoot in South India, where she said she often heard unexplained sounds at night, “the sound of anklets and the sound of a woman crying.” When she asked those around her about the noises, she said the reply was simply, “This place itself is like this.” The previous incident Sudha’s accounts combine personal belief with spiritual interpretation. She believes her sensitivity to unseen energies guides her understanding of such experiences and underscores how deeply her faith and spiritual grounding shape her responses when confronted with what she perceives as the inexplicable. Earlier, there was an incident at Mata Ka Jagrata where Sudha was seen dancing in trance, fans wondered whether she was possessed by the spiritual energies around.

Vanshaj Singh, Prince Narula and Karan Patel

Exclusive | Vanshaj Singh calls Prince Narula 'bua' for nudging him in the game

Vanshaj Singh, who was recently evicted from The 50, opened up about his experience on the reality show in an exclusive chat, making bold claims about the dynamics inside the house. The YouTuber labelled Prince Narula and Karan Patel as part of what he called the “Bua gang,” while reflecting on his journey, relationships, and conflicts. Recalling his entry into the show, Vanshaj described it as a proud moment. “First of all, thank you so much. It was a great opportunity for me. Colors, Jio Hotstar, my family was also very excited to see me. My son will be on TV. So I was very happy,” he said. Despite his eviction, he added, “But when the show ended, I'm just glad that everyone saw what happened to me. Like everything is on the show. Everything is on the episode.” Vanshaj felt disappointed meeting Prince Narula Vanshaj admitted he was initially excited to meet Prince Narula but soon felt disappointed. “This is not the Prince Narula I used to follow. And I hope that all the people who have these fake expectations from him, their bubble bursts quickly because Prince Narula is exactly what he preached against.” When asked about a possible bully group, he responded bluntly, “Yeah, there is definitely. It's not even a bully gang. It's an aunt gang.” Naming those he believed were involved, he said, “Of course, the aunt leader, Prince Narula. And then aunt uncle, Karan Patel. Then Siddharth is also there… And there was also Riddhi Dogra… But yes, they are all the partners of the aunt gang. Everyone should stay away from the aunt gang because they will come in front of you at any time and backstab you.” He also questioned the fairness of his eviction, stating, “Look, I only remember Mona Lisa and Urvashi's performance. That's why I'm commenting on that. I'm not even shooting blindly.” Vanshaj further alleged that the house environment often crossed limits. “Apart from the whole bully gang… a lot of lowly, crass comments, racist comments for each other.”  Difficult to stand out in The 50 Despite the tensions, he acknowledged forming a few positive connections. “Manisha Rani supported me, so I became friends with her… Urvashi was also very nice… she is a gem. Manisha Rani was nice. Arushi was very nice.” Highlighting the difficulty of standing out among 50 contestants, he said, “Yeah, it's very difficult… it's so easy to talk about Elvish Yadav… And I think everyone will get screen time.” If given another chance, Vanshaj made his stance clear: “I don't like to fight with anyone… But if something goes wrong with me, then of course, I'll make sure everybody knows.”

Divya Agarwal and Apurva

The 50: Bhavya Singh claims Divya Agarwal lives separately from her husband

Heated disagreements, emotional moments, and shifting dynamics take over the Palace, keeping the atmosphere charged throughout the latest episode of The 50. In a dramatic turn, a nasty fight descended between Divya Agarwal and Bhavya Singh, during which the latter made some shocking claims. Bhavya alleged that Divya and Apurva live separately and even called her a gold digger. Bhavya accuses Divya Agarwal The fight started after Divya stated that Archana doesn't have a brain during the Bail and Buddhi task. Bhavya, who has been getting along well with Archana, got irked with Divya and decided to teach her a lesson. When Divya was weeping bitterly after an argument, she asked Bhavya to pass her some tissues, which she vehemently refused. Later, while talking to Sapna Choudhary and Aarya, Bhavya made some personal remarks about Divya and said in Hindi, “She’s such a fake woman—no wonder people call her a gold digger. And the second thing is, I asked her this on a podcast… You can check it on record—whether she’d ever do a reality show again. She said, ‘No, I won’t. I’ve already won Bigg Boss.’ What have you even achieved? She’s a fake woman, being fake with everyone. Now she’ll sit with everyone and bitch about them.”           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Filmy Hoon (@filmyhoon2) While Bhavya made personal remarks, Divya, on the other hand, wanted to leave the show and shared how much she was missing her husband. She then went on to make shocking claims about Divya's married life and said, “The real fireworks went off at her house on Diwali, and I was the one who set them off. And till date, I’ve never spoken about it—not on any podcast, not anywhere. I never will either, because it was their own personal family matter. These people dragged me into it. They beg people in Mumbai, saying, ‘Come to my house, please come to me, please meet me.’ She lives separately from her husband.” About Divya and Apurva Divya tied the knot with businessman Apurva Padgaonkar in February 2024. In the same year, she deleted all posts with Apurva, sparking separation rumours. Divya rubbished the rumours, saying, “I made no noise. I made no comments or stories. I deleted 2,500 posts. Yet the media chose to see and react only to my marriage. It's funny how people see and expect things out of me.”

Instead of backing down, Rajat allegedly went a step further, calling Bebika “bhes” a remark that immediately changed the mood of the conversation. Visibly upset, Bebika took a strong stand and called out Rajat for humiliating her publicly. Matter escalates Bebika further asserted that Rajat needed to learn how to speak to people respectfully and accused him of body shaming her. In a sharp retort, she questioned his hypocrisy, saying that one should look at themselves before passing such remarks on others. What started as a casual roast thus spiralled into a serious confrontation, highlighting issues of respect, privilege, and sensitivity inside the palace. The incident once again underscored how quickly humour can turn harmful in The 50, making this clash another moment that left both contestants and viewers divided.
