The much-awaited Bigg Boss 19 finale has finally started as fans, contestants, and makers are equally excited to draw the curtains on one of the most entertaining seasons of the show. As all eyes are on who takes home the coveted trophy, the finale episode promised to pack a punch with entertainment, music, dance, drama, and some bashing too. Salman Khan, the host, was seen calling out an ex-contestant of the season, Baseer Ali, for his remarks about the makers.
Salman Khan bashes Baseer Ali
During the Bigg Boss 19 finale, Salman Khan addressed Baseer Ali’s remarks made outside the show after the latter's eviction, firmly telling him that he had spoken against the makers, the format, and even Salman himself. The Battle of Galwan actor reminded him that if the show had chosen to highlight certain sensitive topics, such as remarks around Baseer’s sexuality or statements he made that were taken out of context, it could have caused far greater damage to his public image.
Salman also highlighted that Bigg Boss gave Baseer a major platform, yet he chose to speak negatively about it. When Baseer defended himself, saying he spoke from the heart, Salman said that such bitterness only harms his own standing with production houses. Salman also added that Baseer had earlier complained about not receiving enough attention; however, that too doesn’t justify speaking poorly about the show.
Ultimately, the hosed closed the topic by advising Baseer to be more sensible, as no production would want to work with someone who openly discredits the platform they’re part of.
What Baseer had said
Baseer expressed disappointment with Salman Khan, Baseer had told mid-day, “It kept happening again and again. In the beginning, with so many people in the house, I thought maybe I’d be guided later. But even by the 4th, 5th, and 6th weeks, I got no feedback. I felt maybe people weren’t saying anything wrong about me or were just doing their own thing. But when I came out and saw clips, I realised people like Pranit, GK, Mridul, Nehal, and Farrhana had said so much nonsense about me.”
He added, “So many people said crass things about me, and Bigg Boss never took a stand. Salman Khan never raised the issue. I wasn’t informed on the show about what was being said. No one asked them why they made such comments. These things go against social norms — they’re unethical to say on camera, on a show like Bigg Boss. I felt like a lost goat in the house.”
