TV actress Sara Khan recently opened up about an unpleasant experience she faced while attending an event in Delhi. The actor revealed that she was mentally harassed by the organisers of Delhi 6 Fashion Runway Week. She revealed how basic facilities were not provided to her and that her safety was at risk.

On Monday, August 4, the Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai actress took to Instagram to share a video wherein she warned her colleagues and fellow event industry professionals about her horrific experience with the organisers. The actress shared, "I've been working in this industry for almost 18 years and this is the most terrible experience of my life. I was supposed to attend the event on August 2 in Delhi, a city I've always loved, and they have been so welcoming always. However, the organisers failed to provide the basic safety, hospitality and commitments they promised."

Although the actress did not take names, she revealed, "They changed the hotel without notice, leaving me in an unknown and shady place with no support from their team. The only arrangement was a car with a driver, which I found very unacceptable. When I refused to proceed, one of the organisers threatened my team members, saying. I had to book my own return flight and take measures to protect myself and my team."

Sara went on to apologise to her fans, who were expecting her at the fashion event. She said, "Imagine the physical and mental harassment caused by the clients. And lastly, how mutual respect and comfort and safety should be the top priority for everyone. I apologise to the public who were expecting me at the event. I'm truly, truly sorry for that. My safety was at risk, and I had to prioritise that. This experience was completely unacceptable, and I'm speaking out to warn others in the industry."

On the work front, Sara was last seen in the TV show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya. The 35-year-old made her acting debut in 2007 with Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai. Post that she was seen in several TV shows like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Rangoli, Saubhagyalakshmi, Laal Ishq, Santoshi Maa – Sunayein Vrat Kathayein and more. She came to the spotlight for her appearances in reality shows Bigg Boss 4 and Lock Upp. She has also acted in Hamari Adhuri Kahani.
