From Indian Classical to Rock 'n' Roll — Ustad Allah Rakha Khan’s music spanned diverse genres and stirred generations. With his 95th birth anniversary coming up later this month, the guide pays tribute to the icon with rare frames from his life and times

To celebrate his birth anniversary, every year, tabla legend Ustad Allah Rakha Khan’s family and friends come together and pay a musical tribute to him, titled The Journey Continues.... This year, the event will focus on Indian Classical, Western Classical and Jazz music.

The concert will feature the coming together of musicians like Fazal Qureshi, Louiz Banks, Gino Banks, Rakesh Chaurasia and Sheldon D’Souza to name a few.

“While Abbaji remains in our hearts, this musical tribute is a way to reminisce about him and his divine music. He was an inspiration for many and continues to be so,” says Qureshi.
