Q. Who was your inspiration?
A. I am inspired by my family who are national level motocross racers. My father, Gnyaneshwar Barguje, better known as Bala, is a former national motocross champion and winner of the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award. My uncle Vijay Barguje and my cousins, Yogesh and Vishal, are also top motocross racers. They inspired me and even rider Aravind KP is my inspiration. I want to take forward my family’s legacy. I entered in 2013 and I have won in many different cities like Nashik, Pune, Bengaluru and Kolhapur so far.

Q. How do you manage your time between studies and motocross?
A. I only practice on Saturdays and Sundays, not on weekdays. That’s how I manage to do both the things.

Q. What are your future plans?
A. When I grow up, I want to study hotel management and of course, I will keep on doing what I love: which is motocross.

Q. What tips would you like to give to other bikers?
A. I would like to tell them that safety is most important. You should always wear
helmets and gloves and the other elements in the kit for motocross.

Q. You are a part of the PB Racing team which is part of Ceat Pune Invitational Supercross League 2014; how do you feel about it? And which bike do you ride?
A. I currently ride a YZ85cc bike. I feel very proud about being a part of the event. I don’t skip my practice at all on Saturday and Sunday and I practice all-day for it. I am looking forward to the event.
