There are many who avoid drinking alone even if they are thirsty. People like company. The podcast Another Round could be their best friend. Tracy Clayton and Heben Nigatu, who met at their workplace, laugh over a drink discussing African feminism, turning ’90s black sitcoms into musicals, the pangs of social media and the world of dating.
The women are one of the wittiest to have emerged on a drinking table. They launched the podcast from their office and later, became friends. So, did they really drink? Well, they did but of course, it was an edited show. They said the show was like Happy Hours with Friends one hasn’t met yet.
The liquor provides the cocktail party theme to the 90-minute conversation, exactly how they wanted it to be. There is a section where they both quiz each other on topics. It becomes bizarre to the extent of Clayton trying to guess whether a string of letters is actually the name of a British dude or just a part of Nigatu’s drunken thoughts.
