American DJ and music producer KSHMR turned Mumbai into a riot of colour and sound as he kicked off his India tour with a breathtaking headline set as a part of the Sunburn Holi Weekend.
Mumbai marked the first stop of his five-city India tour and fans showed up in full force to set the tone not only for the festival celebrations but also his performances
As the set began, the energy of the crowd reflected the scale and sentiment of Holi celebrations in India that are usually filled with festive classics but is slowly evolving over time. There was a visible shift in energy as music and colour came together in a way that felt culturally rooted and organic to the setting.
The set featured fan favourites including ‘Karate’, ‘Bazaar’ and ‘Legacy’, each receiving high-energy from the crowd who had come to have a good time. In keeping with the Holi weekend theme, KSHMR introduced specially curated edits and Indian influenced instrumental segments that reflected his signature sound.
The highlight of the night was his seamless blend of EDM with desi favourites, opening with ‘Rang Barse’, dropping the viral 'Dhurandhar' track, mixing in ‘Kajra Re’ and performing his Indo-inspired anthem ‘Legacy’. He also played a Marathi-techno fan favourite ‘Tamdi Chamdi’ to fit the Mumbai vibe.
With gulal showers, colour cannons and high-impact production, the show ended on a vibrant, high-energy note.
Commenting about the performance, Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn, said, “KSHMR shares a deep connection with India and the audience here is always brimming with energy."
Following the electrifying Mumbai opener, the tour will then continue to Bengaluru on March 6, Bhubaneswar on March 7 and Hyderabad on March 8, as he is ready to take his signature anthems to fans across the country.
