Mazagaon-based St Mary's School celebrates its 150th anniversary, today. Musician and alumni Zubin Mehta to attend the celebrations after 46 years
Acclaimed Western Classical music maestro Zubin Mehta is set to visit his alma mater St Mary’s School at Mazagaon today. The artiste will be attending the school’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

The school has planned a year-long celebration including social initiatives by students to mark the special occasion. The initiatives will begin with a pre-inaugural function, where Mehta will unveil the celebration logo. Mehta is an alumnus of St Mary’s ICSE and graduated in 1951. He last visited the institution in 1967.

Established in 1864, over the years, St Mary’s has gone on to boast of prominent alumni including entrepreneur Azim Premji, filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, actor Boman Irani, scientist Homi K Bhabha and Justice Bhaktawar Lentin, among others.
