'Whenever a layman looks at the sun, the fact that it is eternal is reiterated', says astrologer Ajai Bhambi in his book, Vedic Sun Signs.
In the book, the author lists personality traits specific to a person's Vedic Sun sign, which might differ from his Sun sign, given the 23-day difference between the Vedic and Western systems of astrology. 
Vedic astrology is based on constellations or nakshatras, with each Sun sign further divided into three sections based on a person's birthday. Here's a quick overview of each Vedic Sun sign:
Aries (April 14 to May 14)
Like the Ram, the symbol of your sign, you tend to be rash, and are advised to be more circumspect. You are highly ambitious and set difficult goals for yourself, but you have the ability to achieve them. You tend to clown around a lot but this is more to hide the loneliness within you. Romantic alliances are part of your life as you are drawn to the opposite sex. This innate attraction leads you from one love affair to another with a desperate urge for commitment and marriage.
