To make a mark and survive in the entertainment is not easy. It requires immense hard work and effort. This hard work gets doubled when someone without any connections or contacts in the industry desires to be a part of this industry. Though many actors complain about it, many actors feel that this is a natural process and just a part of how the system works. The second set of actors perceive this more as a challenge to work hard on their abilities. One such example is the emerging actor Ajay Maan who graduated from NIT Kurukshetra one of the top ten colleges in India. He feels that having a contact may give an actor the first opportunity but to sustain in the industry he would need many such opportunities, which can only arise from good work. Success and failure both depend on the hands of a particular individual. He feels that it is tough either way so it is necessary to have a plan and implement that plan in the journey of life. Nothing should be short-termed as short-lived items are like bubbles that burst after a little while. When further asked about nepotism in the industry, he commented "I honestly have no say in this. These things are not in my control, so I would refrain to comment. It is my hard work and patience, rest is on god."

Talking about the Bollywood film industry, he shared his experiences of being a newcomer and even discussed about the existing culture of Bollywood. He feels that being an outsider, he really knows a lot less about the intricacies of Bollywood culture and often he might get left out. All the knowledge he has about Bollywood and its trending culture is from social media. The rising numbers in entertainment journalism and paparazzi culture gives informs him a lot about what's going on in tinsel town! He even added that he loves to watch interviews of actors as it is very satisfying to hear from the people he admires. Talking about his experiences about being a newcomer, he shared that it is a phase he really loves. He shared "Every actor, or every great man or every successful people were once beginners. Everyone was a newcomer one day. Yes, it is more a lot more challenging initially but this is also just a phase. It is just in my life book as I am doing this for myself. I also never compare myself with anyone else as each person has their individual challenges that are unique in nature. Also, in the words of Muhammad Ali, every person should be treated irrespective of their journey and stature. And everyone gets an opportunity in life, it is just the wise usage of the right opportunity. In fact, even as I speak, I am waiting for mine, the right opportunity. "

Ajay Maan digitally debuted in the short film " Sorry" produced by Pocket Films-Indian Short Film. He even did a role in Mirza Javed Ali's "The Forgotten". Currently, he is looking for more suitable roles in the industry that would lead him to the zenith of his career. He feels that the competition is really tough out there as opportunities are really less, but in every profession, it is the same. One should just focus on their plans and keep striving hard. Many people will demotivate and try to pull down, but others' perceptions should never hinder the process of self-growth.
