Every success has a meaning, but how we bring that out, it’s on us. Ones who understand this, they do not seek approval. Instead, they give the world more of opportunities that they see while walking through the path. They bring forward choices for those who do or do not have one, as they believe, “Choices open us up and when it does, we blossom.” Well, in the list of those people is the name of Dr. Varun Gupta, an educationist, humanitarian and an author who is doing the best he can to assure that people can get the best of what they seek. He not just understands the market but also assures us to bring out ways for ensuring the continuity required within building skills and assuring development. Currently, in association with the ON SKY GLOBAL, a USA-based institution that imparts skill-based and job-oriented courses, he gladly announced scholarships that will offer 500 students 100% tuition-free scholarships for learning technical and vocational skills. Understanding the importance of reducing the situation of under or unemployed youth, these scholarships will provide the low-skilled people (dropped out students or other individuals who are not in education, employment, and training or NEETs).
“Every event can bring out the thought of what change can be brought in. It is we who need to focus.” With simple in words, Dr. Varun did say a lot with those lines. According to him, it was the theme of the year (Reimagining Youth Skills Post-Pandemic) on the event of World Youth Skills Day 2021 that he decided to pay tribute to the creativity and resilience of the youth who got through the crisis. He said, “I looked into a lot and what I saw was the skills which the youth can acquire as of now for their better future. I also think that for all the stakeholders, it is very crucial for ensuring continuity within the skills development and in order to do so, they should keep introducing training programmes that can help bridge the gap in between the skill the youth have and what they can get. Either way, solutions require a re-imagination or probably a thorough look so that it can help consider the present realities and the future possibilities, full-ranged.”

A positive mind with passionate heart like Dr Varun, it sees the scope. It then ensures the same to be filled in, and through these 500 scholarships that are to be provided to the young generation, he knows that their talents will receive a lot of opportunities. It would also help to spread an awareness amidst the teachers and the parents about what abilities their kids or students hold and what is possible within their range to bring in changes.
