Dear Diana,

I met a guy online way back in 2003 and fell madly in love with him but things didn't work out and we broke it off and have been on and off till 2005. During this period,u00a0 I met another guy online who's three years younger than I am and is from a lower social strata.

I don't talk to him now and don't answer any of his messages and will not answer them and will not chat with him ever again because I am certain that he was involved in the break-up of my previous relationship with the person I loved.

I want him to know that I don't want him as a friend or anything else for that matter. I want him out of my life. Also, he keeps threatening to will kill himself if I leave him I think theres something seriously wrong with his head. I want him to leave me alone.

Rasha

Dear Rasha,

If the problem only persists online, what's stopping you from blocking this guy from wherever you have added him as a friend? Useu00a0 your email services optimally so as to filter out any mails that come from the guy.

Moreover, send a warning mail to him saying that if he tries to contact you again or sends any more messages to you, that you will inform the cops.

If nothing else, maybe that will put some sense into his head. Any guy who threatens to top himself for a girl who doesn't even care a bit about him, is either too silly or too delusional and ought to just be forgotten. So do just that, forget about him.

She's gone incommunicado... again

Dear Diana,

I am 18 years old and now work with a big company. In my school days, there was a girl I liked a lot. She left the school two years ago She didn't tell me a thing nor did she give me her number.

A year later, we met online on Orkut and made up again. Everything was going fine and we got physical also many times. She hasn't been responding to my mails for the past 10 days now.

Neither does she call back and I don't know why. Last time, she said she wanted to have sex with me but I ignored her. The problem began then.

Dilip Singh

Dear Dilip,

So she's the runaway girlfriend. Why don't you figure out what causes the urge in her to flee? Why does she leave you high and dry wondering what you did wrong or didn't do, thereof?

There's something seriously wrong here.u00a0 She just can't go AWOL on you because you refused sex on one particular day. Check into the problem ASAP.

How can I teach him a lesson?

Dear Diana,

I recently broke up with my guy because we were in a triangular love story. We met online and chatted for months together. He insisted we meet. One day we did. He proposed, I said yes.

We dated three months but then, I suddenly got to know that he was having an affair on the side. I confronted him. He said she was a friend and nothing more.

Later, that girl sent me a message where she blamed me for their break-up (which happened earlier). I felt very guilty. I want to teach him a lesson. He has no right to hurt me or any other girl.

Binny

Dear Binny,

He ought to have come clean with you the first time around. There are ways and means of telling the truth to people. He shouldn't have lied to you in the first place and then make matters worse by continuing the affair.
u00a0
And why are you bothering about the other girl. You had no way of knowing she even existed. I don't understand what made you feel guilty.

Either way, it is his fault and how you teach him a lesson is by simply going online and telling common friends about his deceit and then publicly dump him.

Of course, give him a chanceto explain himself before you do this. if you aren't convinced, go ahead with the original plan.
