It isn't called the king of fruits for nothing. And, an early summer means mango season is already upon us and this delicious fruit is finding space in every dish or drink you can think of. Our newest favourite is the Cucumber and Mango Salad created by delivery service, Tossed and Dressed.
The colourful salad was specked with the yellow of sweet mango bits, the green of sliced cucumber, bell peppers and chopped coriander. The sweetness of the mango, our first of the season, was offset by the faint hint of bitter from the cucumber. However, it came with a tangy mustard dip that wasn't needed. It was fresh, healthy and surprisingly, filling.
Tossed and Dressed was started by Reetha Balsavar last year. She offers healthy and fresh salads - one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian, daily. She has a weekly menu that can be customised. Her other offerings for this week were Pepperoni Italian Salad, American Chopper Vegetable Salad and Prawn with Spicy Honey.
