The King would have approved. With a no-stingy policy on their alcohol and delish, authentic starters, Road House Bluez is bound to give Andheri's night-outers more reason to say cheers
Stepping into Road House Bluez, Andheri’s newest bar, we quickly noticed the laid-back atmosphere, a pleasingly diverse suburban crowd and a uniquely old-school pub experience. The music alternated between Rock and Adult Alternative, while Rock legend-covered posters were on its walls; it boasted of a well-lit bar on the ground floor and a big screen. Very Hard Rock, but minus the pretenses and pricing! The only downer as far as interiors went was the blue light at the entrance that gave the otherwise buzzing space, a depressing vibe.

Road House Bluez threw in two levels of entertainment. The ground floor offered a quintessential sports bar-like set-up while the first floor appeared more like a relaxed watering hole. On a Saturday night, the place was packed to capacity. We started with the Virgin Mojito (R175) and the Long Island Ice Tea (R355). The menu doesn’t offer many creative options in terms of local combo cocktails and sticks to the tried-and-tested collaboration of spirits.
The Virgin Mojito was all parts minty and some parts citrus-ey in its correct mix, and made for a refreshing drink to start off the evening. The LIT, on the other hand, stunned us. The potent mix of vodka, rum, tequila and gin was topped with a sour mix and topped off with cola. Road House Bluez does NOT go stingy with the alcohol, as the drink was generously mixed. Kudos.
The Chicken Nuggets were nicely battered and made for a good snack
The Chorize Sausages (Rs 180) were nicely smoked, and exuded a distinctive smokiness and a deep red colour from the red peppers that were mixed with it. Served with bread, these offered a unique Goan experience, right here in Andheri. The Nachos Plain (Rs 160) came with a Salsa and Sour Cream, which were cut into well-shaped wedges and served crisp. These had a less pronounced corn flavour than store-bought ones, so if strong flavouring is what you like, then this one isn’t for you.
The Chicken Nuggets (Rs 260) were made from chicken breasts and nicely battered to deep-fried crispiness. With a mildly distinct flavour, the accompanying garlic dip complimented it well.

At the end of the meal, we rolled a dice and got a discount to the sum total that we rolled to. We like.
